Blair: So why have you stopped writing us?
Me: I've got a bit of a block about writing TS at the moment, that's all.
Blair: So it's nothing to do with you're too involved with the sparkly side?
Me: No!
Blair: Jim's a sentinel, he knows if you're lying.
Me: Well it's a good thing I'm not then isn't it.
Jim: She's not, Chief.
Blair: She still left us in the middle of a disaster zone. She killed Simon! Then left us arguing in a make-shift camp site. Daryl hates you, and we're all in dire straights. I still think it's the pop thing. Look, if I danced would you like me better? I can dance! I can, even though you collapsed a building on me and I have a bust leg.
Me: No, really, don't dance. I love you still. You're my first writing fandom, you're special. I've a block!
Blair: I did a psyche course and I suspect you're blocking because of the trauma of killing millions of people in the story, a psychologist...
Me: Man, what do I have to do to shut you up?
Jim: I fuck him.
Me: ...
Jim: Hard.
Me: That doesn't help me does it!
Jim: You could use a strap on.
Me: Like I'd have one of them.
Jim: I'm a sentinel remember, that bag next to the bed...
Me: Okay, that's enough. I know where the delete key is and know how to use it.
Blair: Shush, Jim. She killed Simon remember.
Me: Good. Now listen and listen good. I'm sorry it's taking so long but I'm proud of your story. I don't want to force it.
Blair:You will finish us?
Me: Yes!
Blair: It's just a lot of people think you've left the fandom.
Me: I haven't! Do you want me to plaster it across my LJ?
Jim: It could help.
Me: You're insane, you know that?

Brennan: I suppose. It's just I was talking to that Blair, we meet in your documents sometimes, and he said you've gone to the sparkly side. I zapped him though for telling lies. As if a thirty year old woman would have a crush on a boyband if she could have me.

Me: Before you start I'm writing you now.
Chris: Yeah, I know. I'm 13!
Me: I had to start somewhere!
Chris: I'm about 4 foot tall! Do you know what that's like for my ego? Years of pretending I'm 5 10 and now you've made me 13! And don't think I haven't seen your research. Like making me miserable do you?
Me: No, I don't actually.
JC: Yes you do.
Me: Where did you come from?!
JC: I'm watching Chris. Where he is I am, as soon as it's time I'll be there to see him.
Chris: I'm 13, C.
JC: I know babe. I'm waiting for you, you're still beautiful to me

Me: You're too young to be doing that, Chris. You have to wait.

Me: It won't be long, I promise. A few weeks at most.

God, I'd never dare talk to my characters. They'd all bitch like hell.
(Actually, I did used to talk to one of my original characters quite a lot. He used to hang around behind me in my head and read stuff as I wrote it. Also, he'd read e-mails over my mental shoulder. It was rather weird.)

Muses are a funny thing. I don't really have any that talk all the time like some people do. I do talk to the characters I'm writing sometimes, which really is weird when you think about it, I certainly wouldn't tell any non-writers. But I've never had any that read over my mental shoulder thank goodness.
