May. 28th, 2004 05:30 pmIt seems I'm incapable of writing a story, at least a story that fits what I want to write. I wrote The Sentinel today for
castalie. I know she loves slash and angst. What did I end up writing? A gen piece with no angst. It's the same every time. I've tried to write for
ninjetti75 a few times, I know what he likes and I haven't managed it yet. I aim for love, romance and friendship, I end up with angst pain and suffering. I mean really, it's not hard to keep on track is it?
So yes, today has consisted of writing dodgy TS fic, answering comments and going food shopping. I now have pickled onion flavour space raider crisps which is of the good as it means I'm stocked up for the last Friends ep tonight and the start of Big Brother. The show I always say I won't watch yet end up doing so anyway. I mean you have to watch for Dermot at least, he's wonderful.
If by any chance I still have TS friends on my flist the story is here. I think there's still one or two of you hanging in there *g*
I've also finished my site. It's not up to much pretty wise but most of my stuff's up there now. The populli site's closed now apart from the Sentinel Thursday archive. I've changed the links etc so now all I have to do is pick some favourite popslash pics for my eye candy page, which will be hard I'll tell you. While I was doing the site I was thinking of netiquette, especially as I was transferring the links page. In the TS fandom it's netiquette to ask before you link someone and archiving without asking is a nono. That doesn't seem to be the case in popslash, there seems to be a much more relaxed policy in terms of archives and linking. Hmm, I'm sure I had a point but its gone.
I'd better go and feed my kid now, he says he's starving to death and we don't want that *g*

Date: 2004-05-28 09:58 am (UTC)You spelled my name wrong, is this for when I said "Terry"? lol
And I'm sure the story will be fine. Yes, I love schmoop, but as long as it's well written and ends happily, I'll be fine regardless of any angst or kink that happens in the middle. And I =know= you'll do well written, regardless of what you think of yourself *sticks out tongue* so just give me a happy anding and it's all good.
(Now, I could go on and on with lots of details about what is PREFERRED etc etc, but we're not gonna bother. I trust you. *g*)

Date: 2004-05-29 10:12 pm (UTC)You and me both... I was assigned Chris/Lance with smut, snark, and no angst for a challenge, and what did I write? Barely C/L with hints of smut, a little snark, and lots of angst. *rubs temples*

Date: 2004-05-30 03:48 pm (UTC)Part of my problem is I love angst, so when someone asks for no angst I immediately want to write it. What that says about me I don't know ;)
