turpsFirst I have to say YES YES YES!!!!!
I'm so pleased that bloody seal boy has gone. Never have I disliked anyone on tv as I have that idiot.

lazydwarf who wanted Chris planning a birthday party for Lance. This may be a little weird *g*
“Are you sure Lance wants jello and ice cream?” JC sounds doubtful and looks between Justin and Chris who’re alternately scribbling and defacing the cover picture of an Nsync note book. “And stop drawing on my face. I do not have hair like that.”
“He’s going to love it, and you do have hair like that,” Chris lazily points his pen at JC, before adding horns to Joey’s picture.
“What do you have a stack of these for anyway?” Justin pokes at the book with his pen, leaving a purple mark on Lance’s nose. “They’re at least three years old, look at my hair.”
“I got them free okay,” JC refuses to feel embarrassed, even when Justin looks at him like he’s insane.
“You could buy a million note books, good ones with real paper,” Justin holds up a page disdainfully, as if he hadn’t been happily writing in the book minutes before.
“Balloons!” Chris shouts suddenly, and he snatches back the book, writing balloons in an untidy scrawl. “And Justin, things are better when they’re free. I’ve a stack of these things at home; Lance does our accounts in them.”
Vindicated, JC smiles at Chris and decides maybe he does know what Lance wants after all. “Why don’t you have green balloons, they’ll match his eyes, and I think he mentioned wanting a pony ride once for his eighth birthday, but his mom said no.”
“Excellent!” Chris grins happily and writes down JC’s suggestions, then pulls out a chair indicating that he should sit and help them plan. Soon he’s caught up in the excitement as they discuss clowns and face painters and even at one point, debating if an elephant would fit into Chris’ back garden.
As the list grows longer JC feels a little guilty. He doesn’t think Lance will like half of this stuff, but he loves sitting with Justin and Chris, laughing and eating junk food as Lance’s party becomes every little boy’s dream. Chris thinks it’s perfect and Justin agrees, so JC’s prepared to go along for the ride, especially if he can get his elephant.

“Are you sure he’s going to like this?”
In reality the plans JC loved so much seem a little ridiculous. Streamers hang from every tree and huge green balloon arches are tied to the porch. Trestle tables covered in party food stand under a pink striped gazebo, but when JC looks closer the food consists of cake, finger sandwiches and plates full of jello that wobbles when anyone walks past. A birthday cake in the shape of a rocket ship is covered in unlit candles and JC knows there’ll be ice cream somewhere close.
Brianna loves it, running between her mom and dad holding a smiley face balloon on a string while chanting she wants to ride the horsies. Joey seems happy, grinning at JC as he heads to the make shift paddock, JC would smile back but he can’t.
“Calm down, you’d think you planned all this,” Justin pulls JC toward the house where all the guests have gathered. “He’ll love it.”
JC wants to believe him but he can’t. Imagining Lance sitting eating lurid purple fairy cakes is almost impossible and JC wonders how long it’ll take to be forgiven once his involvement is known. “But…”
“Shhh,” Justin says and JC looks up as the door opens as Lance and Chris come outside. For a moment Lance says nothing as he looks around, then he notices his family hiding in the gazebo and his god daughter running toward him to hand over a balloon. Taking it he smiles, a real smile, not the one he uses for the cameras and JC relaxes at last.
As Lance and Chris walk past, hand in hand, two balloons trailing behind them JC decides maybe Chris knows best after all.
