I'm taking things day by day. I have a doctor appt. on Friday that I would really, really love to cancel. My cousin is seeing a new cancer doctor tomorrow. *crosses fingers* I hope this one is better than the other one. She's not doing real well, but she's not willing to quit fighting, which is really good. I still don't understand why her parents are telling people that she's got 3 weeks to live. That's not the impression you get from talking to my cousin or her husband and I'm pretty sure that the doctor's would have told them that before they told her parents! Just one more thing for me to dislike her parents for.

I'm trying to get back in the swing of things. Hey, I even sat down and wrote a few paragraphs last night. Wheee!

Hehehe, this one was a bit of as journey to get. I saw it posted, *lovedit!* Contacted the creator of it to beg to use it, found out it was a custom request, contacted that user and finally got permission to use it. That is now probably my favorite icon :)

I'm so glad your cousin's fighting. It's so much better that she's doing that than laying back and accepting things. I'll be thinking about her and her family, and you of course. As for her parents. WTF!? They sound nuts.

the doctor appt is a recheck to make sure that the precancer they found and "cured" last year is still gone. I just hate having to put my legs in those stir-up things and I'm worried that if there is bad news... well I don't want to be alone if I find that out. y'know.

Her parents are *not* nice people. I fully blame them for my gramma's heart attack and her death 21 days later. She hadn't had a exsisting heart problem and until that woman badgered and upset her so much, she was ok. I'm hoping that there's a special little corner in hell for her. She doesn't deserve any happiness after what she did to my grandmother and that man (I refuse to call him my grandmother's son) is no better. Me, bitter? nah.

I'm working on the JuC right now. *sigh* The AU one. Then I want to do the trickyfish one, then I have to get cracking on finishing the fic for Josh's bday. Plus I have a bunch of little things I want to write before I do "pissy!JC" for Jo and my challenge. ACK!

Ah. I'm sucked full time into popslash because of people who are just so good to each other. All of my other experences with fandoms mean that there are factions of evil, evil people who don't like one thing or another and feel that they're SO right that everybody else should go by their word.

And, hate posts and flames aside, I think this fandom, or at least the LJ part of it, is really nice.

I have closet fandoms. SG-1 and Farscape, really. But I mostly read there. They're the closest thing to popslash, in the quality of the people, if that makes any sense.

And how are you doing? Hmm? *pets*

Yeah, I agree. Some fandoms are nuts, and the people here are wonderful.

I read SG, but only recs because there's some weird stuff out there, and though I love Farscape the fic for it is a little scarse which is a shame.

I'm okay, at that stage of being sick where you're feeling better but aren't there yet.

ETA: Yes I forgot. You know how I'm a big fan of the UK version of QAF, right? But then, I also said I'm sorta curious to see what is the deal with soapy-QAF US, and since I don't have any episodes on CD yet, I thought some songvids could be a nice beginning, so... does someone have some recs, please? Or some vids, as in extracts from some episodes?

ETA2: Let it be known that nekosmuse is a Goddess! Also, we have a saying in France, il n'y a que les imbéciles qui ne changent pas d'avis, which means that only morons never change their minds, and I never saw myself as a moron... so should I change my mind about QAF US --though I won't ever give up or forget about Stuart and Vince, never fear-- you'll remember I said that, all right? You know, I'm living through a difficult time right now *sigh* I'm slowly warming up to QAF US. Yes, me! How is that possible since I never even watched a single episode? Bite me! Such is the sekrit power held by songvids and vids alike-- oh and let's not forget the pics and the transcripts as well, shall we?

I can't help wondering whether I wouldn't like Brian/Michael better once I'll watch the series of course, but since everyone seems to be on the Brian/Justin side --apart from some of you, and you know who you are, I didn't forget lol-- I can't help wondering what the main pairing really is supposed to be, and I can't help wondering which pairing I'm going to get hooked on once I'll see the thing for real *ponders*

Yeah, color me really intrigued now.

I always thought it was a good thing I practically never say I won't ever watch/like/fall for [Insert whatever show/movie/pairing here], because in moments like this, I would feel really small lol

Though I'm still saying it sounds soapy to the core, but whatever. Now I need to get my hands on some episodes, I suppose; you know, to totally admit that I was wrong in the first place and change my mind *eg*

...we had FINALLY caught up on the email tag we were playing all summer by late August/early September, 'cause I got my LJ in late September and I know we were already friends at that point...

...and only a very short while later, I made a post that said something like "Terri, what have you DONE? You've made a Chris fan out of me!" And we all know how slippery and steep that slope is from there, lol.
