I've just spent the last two days driving across the moors with my boys, watching the dog swim in the river and Corey plodge in it. Yesterday there were floods in the area so we drove looking at the waterfalls that had sprung up, today we took a picnic and sat at our place as James cooked burgers for him and Corey and we had a picnic next to a bubbling stream before going for a short walk. It was perfect you know. It was the first time in months that James hasn't taken any overtime for his days off so we just spent time as a family, driving late into the night, listening to music. It was what we needed and I enjoyed every moment.

They're very trusting up there. We bought new potatoes from a farm where they leave the bags on the wall and you put the money in a box. Same with the free range eggs, there's nothing stopping you taking all you want and paying nothing. Not that we did that of course. James also bought steaks from another farm, I don't actually like steak but still, there's something wrong about buying a steak when the cows are standing looking at you over a fence. It's just wrong, man.

In other news my blood tests came back negative which is great. But I'm on yet another course of evil antibiotics and have to go to the doctors every two days to get my leg dressed because of the infection that just won't go, which is inconvenient but could be worse.

Fannish wise I have nothing as I haven't been online since yesterday morning, and even then it was for five minutes. Tomorrow will be catch up day I think.

ETA: This is mainly for my amusement so I can remember. We were talking about goats and Corey asked if they gave milk out of their milk spouts like cows. Milk spouts, it's going to keep me amused for days *g*

Great to hear you've had a good time with your boys!

I agree. *shudders*

Yeah. :-)

But I'm on yet another course of evil antibiotics and have to go to the doctors every two days to get my leg dressed because of the infection that just won't go, which is inconvenient but could be worse.
*nods* I really hope the infection will leave you alone soon!

I'm having a good time with my folks and my aunt & uncle. I hope to do something fannish (well, *NSYNC stuff) tomorrow. :-)

I did have a great time, thank you :D

You and me both. It's been going on over a month now and that's far too long in my opinion.

YAY for the fannish!

Oooooh yeah. I've had UTIs almost uninterruptedly (big word *g*) for 3 months - it's awful.

YAY for the fannish!
Indeed! I'm all fannish over another band atm, but since I couldn't write fic about them, I'll try to write *NSYNC fic instead. :-D

Aw, that sounds like a grand time, Luv.

And I hope the evil pills are effective so the darned infection goes the heck AWAY and you can just be better and move on.

Though if the doctors tell you that you simple *must* stay off that leg and you end up being forced to sit at Silver and write, I won't be complaining... ;)

It was. It was what we needed, time together out of the way of other people.

I hope the pills are effective too, but somehow I don't think sitting resting and writing is part of the doctors orders *g*

My flist never exactly looks the same when you're away, do you know that? Not that I'm not glad you do go out, mind you lol

You seem to have had a great time, I really like reading all those reports, me who lives in the city and never really sees anything else than buildings and stuff.

Hope the evil antibiotics will do their work and that you'll get rid of them soon *g*

I have to admit that I hate seeing the gaps in my calendar myself, but we got in so late there was no way to update on time.

I'm loving getting into the country. I couldn't live there but the visits sure are nice.

Man, I hope I can get rid of them soon. This is the third ten day course now and I know in terms of other things this is minor, but still, taking three tablets four times a day gets annoying.

that sounds amazing man, and so incredibly zen. also, we do that here, the thing about leaving stuff out. like, not in the city, but when you get out into the country side, there's like, carrots and apples and potatoes and strawberries - and my own personal favorite? honey. mmmmmmm.

It's so cool when things are left out like that. The level of trust is amazing and it sort of strengthens my faith in human nature that things like that do happen.

it does. and I must admit, my faith in myself, sometimes. I always think, 'wow, it'd be insanely easy for someone to take the money, or take the stuff and not leave any money' - but it never crosses my mind to do it. thank god.

I know what you mean. When I saw the stands I thought it would be easy to jump out the car, take things and drive away. But it's something I'd never even consider personally.

There was an "on your honor" farm stand like that near my old house. Where you would take what you wanted and leave money in the box. They had the best stuff, too. Sometimes I miss living further from the city.

I'm so relieved that your blood tests were negative, though it sucks that your leg infection is still at it. Hope these antibiotics do the trick!

I'd never seen one of those honour stands until I went into the country and was really impressed. It would be so easy to take without paying but it seems most people can be trusted and that's so cool.

I was relieved about the tests too, I'm not so happy that the infection's still there but I live in hope that this lot of tablets works.
