Sep. 6th, 2004 12:16 pmSchool went back today so I'm back in the school routine, which means alone time during the day and early bed times for Corey. Which was good as it meant James and I had time together last night. Yesterday was okay, the party was a washout though as only one guest turned up, so we ended up just having dinner. Then somehow it was arranged that we'd take the in laws to the fair. Which we did, watching Corey and Keira on the rides. The only problem was it was late by then and it was a school night so I had to cut it short.
So we came home and got things ready for school. Amazingly we found his book bag and uniform easily and Corey was in bed by nine thirty, after some protests of course. Of the type he used to go to bed at ten last term, which he didn't at all. I don't blame him for trying though *g*
I didn't say yesterday but the soap opera challenge story is done and ready to be posted as I scrape in for the deadline. I sent it to anyone that offered to look it over and I've decided it's okay to tweak after posting so if you checked it for me and still want to send it feel free. I guess it needs a real title, something really cheesy. Maybe Nightmare in the Sky!. Though I am attached to that damn Trickyfish now. It's funny, the story isn't really that trickyfishy at all, if you read it don't sue me for misrepresentation ;)
I'm just glad it's done so I can move onto the next one, and maybe get some comments answered. You're all going to be sick of seeing my comment replies and I'm sorry for that. RL had yet again stuck it's teeth into me.
Oh, something cool. A group of dolphins were at Sunderland yesterday, at the beach we go to sometimes. There were 30 of them just swimming between the piers. Sadly they'd gone when we drove there but how fantastic it would have been to see them.
Now, posting time.

On the northern shores of England? Who knew? (northeastern? whatever. i thought dolphins were a little more tropical than that, but what do i know, lol...)
And, um... ..I'm gonna finish Lyds' story in a minute (okay, a few hours, I hope) here, then I'll email my Americanization ideas on your not-so-Trickyfish, I'm sorry, I'm horrible, and just AWFUL with deadlines; I should never volunteer to do anything, really...

Date: 2004-09-06 08:58 am (UTC)You're not horrible at all! I had to post this story so I could tell the organiser it was done on time, but I can and will still change things. Don't beat yourself up or I'll come and do it for you ;)

Date: 2004-09-06 09:33 am (UTC)Wait... ..so if I beat myself up, then you'll come do it AGAIN? Guess I'll go with the "no beating at all," lol
Though if it'll get you to come visit, I can smack myself around... (hee!)
I'm just stressing 'cuz I'm STILL not done (over a week late, oi) and as soon as I AM I have to jump back into my moviefic, can't be late for my own challenge!! But at least it's writing itself fairly well, or it was, before I had to stop to do Lyds' story... ..speaking of which, yours being late is fine, you know that, but what movie/etc were you using, do you know yet?

Date: 2004-09-07 12:58 pm (UTC)Dolphins are so beautiful. I wish we could have seen them, but it's a thrill thinking they were actually there.
