First. The leak is fixed! Which may not be as exciting to you all as to me but as it means I can actually use my kitchen again so I'm all happy just now No more emptying buckets and squeezing past washing machines to get to the fridge. It took my poor brother and his friend until 10pm last night to fix it and they had to keep going outside to turn the water off as the stop cock is wrecked. As a result it was freezing in the house so I huddled under a blanket watching tv because it's impossible to use the computer with a houseful of people. I get all paranoid about who's looking over my shoulder.

Corey had gone upstairs to watch tv. He's a set in his room but prefers to go in our bed to watch, which is fine but mam came down and wanted to see him. To sort of set the scene I never close the window near my bed and the other window was open too, simply because I couldn't reach it to shut it so our room was really cold last night, which is how I like it to sleep. She didn't like that and shouted for Chris to come shut the windows ( the one near our bed is bust and needs a huge yank to shut it ) so he went up and I cringed. Remember how I said I had to tidy up because the plumber was coming? Well I did, and put most of the stuff in my room, which looked like an explosion in a clothes factory, and now it was full of people. It's just a shame the mess didn't distract her from the understanding speech I was subjected to.

But yes, it's fixed and that's the important thing.

I'm also in the major bad books after forgetting my dad's birthday. Nanna came up and reminded me and in the process made me feel about five again. By the time she was finished I was ready to give her anything if she's just stop reminding me how I'd never forgotten before and how he'd been expecting a card. So we went over two nights ago to see him and his girlfriend and spent the time making nice. I hardly see the guy now, he's too busy with his new family so it was nice, even if the visit was based on guilt.

To get all the rl news out of the way I was surprised when James brought me a necklace home this week. It had belonged to his nanna's mam originally and his grandad had left a letter saying I should have it. Which yes made me feel small considering I didn't like the guy.

And that's it. I'd better go get dressed then I have a free day, a long free day too as Corey is at the maths club after school. I see e-mails and coding in my future, much better than leaks and doctors visits :)

Hail to the fixed leak.

Interesting about the necklace - but well, just because someone is dead and gave you something shouldn't make you feel small because you didn't like them. You had good reasons. Still, that was nice about the necklace. Odd everything considered, but nice. People can do nice things after all. Did I use 'nice' too many times? Nice!

And let get me this straight --it'll be a first for me-- your son is in maths club? When you say it's a 'maths' club you mean, you know, M.A.T.H.S? Well damn, that killed me!

But hey, hail to long free days, too!

yeah, about that Maths club... you do realize he might grow up to be a geek à la Daniel Jackson? Or maybe a Blair? (if the last one, tell him to keep his hair short, please)

Your son is so cool... *giggles*

Tell me about it *g*

Hmmm, being a geek is good, especially being a geek like Daniel and Blair. No worries though, I doubt Blair hair will happen in this house *g*

lol - being a Daniel/Blair-like geek is good, very good, indeed *g*

good thing on the Blair hair - not that I don't like it on Blair, but I much prefer short hair :P

YAY! I'm really quite excited about it *G*

The necklace thing blew me away, I mean he never even talked to me so going to the effort of making sure I got that was weird. However, I still feel what you do when alive is what you're judged on so I'm past the feeling small thing now. But I'm glad he wasn't as bad as I thought.

You can never say nice too many times I think ;)

Let me get over you being straight for a moment

Okay, I'm done *g*

Yeah, it's a maths club. He told me he wanted to join and I was like WTF!? Internally of course because if he wants to do that it's up to him. He must get that from James' side because joining a maths club is the last thing I'd do.

YAY! I just hope I don't get any unexpected calls. My long free day is planned out and no one is going to spoil it. Saying which, I'd better get out of my pjs.

yay for fixing the leak!!!
also, yes. I get sooo paranoid when it's just like, mom, who wouldn't be able to understand most of it, anyway.
also, necklace. you know, you didn't like him, and I trust your instincts on that part. still, it's pretty neat...

YAY! No more buckets!

I hate being online with anyone in the house other than James or Corey. Neither of them are interested in what I look at, plus James knows it all anyway, but other people? No way.

The necklace was a cool thing. I'm prepared to think he wasn't as bad as I thought now.

Also. Random smooches to you *smooches you* because I'm worried about you and your health.

I'm glad your leak was fixed! I live in constant fear that my plumbing will rupture while I'm out of town *groan*. Weak, it's all weak. The stuff in the back of my toilet blew like a geyser once, but thankfully I was home and was able to turn the water off.

I'm glad too. I fear leaks too after I had to have my kitchen floor lifted after the dish washer leaked.

Who'd be a home owner eh?
