mess as far as the eye can see *g*

turpsToday it was hot here, about 21 degrees ( and btw I just had a chat last week with someone who said that's not hot, but believe me, if you live in England it is *g* )so we decided to have a bbq.
Now this was a last minute decision and we don't actually have a bbq so we bought a cheap one as well as a blow up pool for Corey. And what fun we've had. I sat and blew that bloody pool for ages until my mother-in-law said there was a hole that needed plugging that was open, so I was blowing in one place and the air was just coming out an inch further on *g* So I sent James to buy an electric pump and it was done in a minute. No way was I spending the summer blowing a pool up manually.
Brother in law, father in law and James cooked. Yes that strange male thing that makes them want to cook on open fire. Corey had two friends here so there was 3 seven year olds and my niece who's 10 months, my in laws Kayleigh and her friend. But I did enjoy myself. Now there's *loads* of meat sitting on the table, cooked but not eaten. I don't like meat so James will have a feast. I stink of smoke, the house looks like a tornado swept through it, one of my ornaments was broken, I'm tired and itchy as I've been in the sun and the dreaded sun rash has hit full force. I'm covered in red spots just now. But you know, I had a great day!
So now I'm going to tidy up, have a shower and catch up on mail and LJ....oh and wonder what to do with three plate fulls of cooked meat *g*
