Oct. 22nd, 2004 08:47 pmThings I never thought I'd hear James say part two. That's what JC says to Lance. You've got one larger than life . JC and Lance. JC and Lance! Bassez That has nothing to do with me, he's thinking of his own pairings now. What I want to know is why Lance dings the packing it radar. I may have to investigate this ;) It seems driving with my sparkly mix cd prompts James' slashy thoughts and we had little mini discussions about GSF on the bus ( he thought he'd had an original idea suggesting it, bless him ) and what the lyrics 'down on your knees' actually mean. Which sounds good but when it's done while talking about chocolate starfishes and Lance stabbing JC with his harder than a knife dick it looses some of its appeal. At least he didn't try to tell a story again.
Today has been much better than yesterday. A lot of running around and decorating but still good. Well apart from sucking up some boxer shorts in the hoover and snapping the belt but that's nothing. James has put in for a job he really wants so hopefully it'll happen. I hope so because I've been mostly kicked offline since yesterday as he works none stop to refine his CV and job hunt.
I'm being slammed by viruses lately which makes me so thankful for Norton. It may be a sneaky bitch and keep putting my mails in the spam folder but at least it's getting the bad ones too. Gah, I've changed my mind. There's just been an advert on tv saying Norton is half price just now. A week after we bought ours. Which is just typical.

'packing it' radar might be the funniest thing that I've read all day. :-)

I don't know if stores work the same way for you that they do in Canada, but if you take the recceipt back to the store you bought it from, you can usually get them to give you the sale price for the product and they will refund the difference. Mind you, I've never tried this with computer programs, but I've done it with my cd player, my roommate's done it with some clothes, and my best friend as a teenager used to do it all the time. If it's a huge price difference, it couldn't hurt to check. Just a suggestion.
And, randomly, I don't talk to you enough. So, ::hugs::

Date: 2004-10-22 01:07 pm (UTC)The second thing I quoted from your post _should_ have been:
There's just been an advert on tv saying Norton is half price just now. A week after we bought ours. Which is just typical.
But, you're a smart cookie, so you probably already figured that one out for yourself. :-)

LOL. Glad I amuse ;)
I may have to try the refund thing. We're taking £25 which isn't a huge amount but not pennies either. Thanks for the suggestion.
And really, you talk to me plenty. I just babble on to myself and am surprised when anyone replies *g*
*hugs with you*

Date: 2004-10-22 01:23 pm (UTC)no, seriously. My dad makes fun of slash, but James has set an all time high for friends and/or significant others going popslash.

Date: 2004-10-22 01:43 pm (UTC)James has always been tolerant about slash, but somehow since he found out that I'd moved on from media fandoms to popslash he's taking more of an interest. It seems Nsync are slashable and tv shows aren't. Go figure. He amuses me with his little comments because though some of it's said to tease he's still thinking about it. Which yeah, is cool, even if he's the worst writer ever *g*
