Nov. 16th, 2004 11:37 amJames is at work, Corey is at school and I'm at my computer. If feels like months ago *g*
James' first day went well, he likes it at his new place and I like his perk of a contract phone for only £2 a month. Sadly I don't use my mobile enough to take use of the family discount of 50% of the normal price so I'll be sticking with my pay as you go. I crashed early last night, as soon as Extreme Make Over Home Edition was done which means I actually feel awake today which is good as I'm faced with a long walk later. Up to school which is on one side of the town, down to the doctors which is on the opposite side then back home which is in the middle. Sadly I've got used to being chauffeured around so doing the school run on foot will be a shock to the system. One that will be good for me sure but still. I suppose it'll give me the chance to plot some more SeSa which has stalled after that first surge.
The outbreak of music downloads on the flist has made me so happy lately as discovering new music is a good thing :) I was uploading some of my favourites for someone this morning so thought I'd throw the links out here too. The first two are by Busted. Now you may have heard me talking about these before and if you know
seiyaharris or
simply_fly_away you'll know about them for sure. I really like their music and like them as a band even if Charlie's views make me seethe at times. The arghhhhhhh ( or some noise like that) in 3am makes me very happy. 3am and Sleeping With the lights on The second two are by Feeder who I love so much. Their stuff is fantastic Come Back Around and Yesterday Went too Soon
ETA: You know what annoyes the hell out of me? People who spell character names wrong. Come on people if you're going to write fanfic at least know their names and the correct spelling. It's not hard and that way I won't be tempted to flame your ass for being a bloody idiot.
Oh, the new Band Aid is on the radio...I like it.

Date: 2004-11-16 04:16 am (UTC)Charlie stated that he was a strong Tory supporter and that's enough to annoy me. His opinions aren't obnoxious as such and I know this is to do with me not him but when he says things like that I can't help thinking 'yeah you would support the Conservative party you upper class moron'. I know that's unfair but sadly it's always my gut reaction. I do like the guy but his political leanings annoy me.

Date: 2004-11-16 04:38 am (UTC)Charlie is welcome to vote for them but I never will. He may be too rich/young/upper class to remember the Tory years but I can, not least the marching miners.

Date: 2004-11-16 04:04 am (UTC)Ooookay am listening to 3am right now and yeah, this is the kind of music I like. Hey nice! Thanks *g*
Re your ETA? Tell me about it. I don't count the times when I had to read 'Brain' instead of 'Brian'. Then again, the QAF fandom has the worst fics I'd ever seen... and in majority too. It's apparently that kind of fandom *shrug*
And btw? Happy to see everyone in the Terri's household back where they belong lol Hopefully things will only get better from now on *crosses fingers*

Date: 2004-11-16 04:20 am (UTC)and, yes Terri (killing two birds with one comment), James' little 'aaaarrggh' in 3AM makes me all quivery. Have you heard to live/acoustic version on the 3AM single? 'cause GAH! GAH I tell ye! *g*
**pets pretty, pretty boys**

Date: 2004-11-16 04:25 am (UTC)I'm glad you agree on the spelling of aaaarrrgggh because I was a little unsure, but yeah, so good.
I haven't heard the live version yet. I may have to go searching for it.
*pets the boys too*

Date: 2004-11-16 07:09 am (UTC)The live version is a must have. Matt is fantastic (um, always) and James' 'aaaaaarrrgh' lol is so pained and I just, **dies** he must lean away from the mic to do it, because it's kinda far away and it's just, ack! Lovely! lol

Date: 2004-11-16 04:23 am (UTC)I think Becca uploaded them doing a cover song right? They're pretty good with a nice sound, I especially like their softer stuff like 3am. The arghhhh bit is so good.
I tried to read some QAF fics but gave up. It seems to be a fandom where you have to know what to read because man some of the stuff is terrible. It's just not needed you know? You surely have to like the fandom to write it so surely that means you should know how to spell names.
Thanks :D It seems mean to say I'm happy because they're both gone but that's how it should be with us all having space to do our own thing and it better continue. I'm ready to write this year off as the worst ever as it is.

Date: 2004-11-16 08:51 am (UTC)Yup, it's just so bad, but some people just can't be bothered to spell the character names wrong or send the story to a beta *sigh*. Typos okay, but things like that? Um... no, not my idea of a good story.
Tries to remember if I ever misspelt a character name... ;-).
James is at work, Corey is at school and I'm at my computer.
Go you! :-D

Date: 2004-11-16 10:14 am (UTC)They could be long lost twins or something. Separated at birth they find one another again and fall in love then find out the awful truth.
They find out then have sex anyway, who cares about incest ;)

Date: 2004-11-17 11:57 am (UTC)James is having a blast, thank you. As for me I'm okay now after a rough few months. But you know the bad times always go in the end.
You've been so busy no wonder we don't have time to talk. I'm thrilled you're going off to have fun and you like your new job. Knowing you're happier is a good thing.
