turpsIt was James' birthday yesterday so happy belated birthday! He was told this yesterday of course as he has this insane idea I should spend time with him on his birthday, which really is most inconsiderate of him ;)
I'd say he wouldn't see this but he's online a lot lately and I suspect he reads my LJ so he may see it. So yes, he was 30 which is good as him being 29 while I was 30 just wasn't working for me. He's had his cards but his party is his present so he'll have to wait for that.
Kayleigh's just been here showing me her new tattoo. It looks good except it's really swollen because some asshole pushed her into one of the beer pumps at work and she landed on it the day it was done. Mortgage man was also here yesterday and after I'd picked myself up off the floor after he worked out how much we're in debt he was pretty helpful. But still hours of talking money isn't my favourite thing to do. But good things yesterday included a long visit from the best friend. She came for a five minute visit and left hours later, not before showing me some old photos which proved I totally grew up in the 80s. A tartan red and green dress with matching bobble. Ribbons with a huge bow in my hair, I was so stylish back then ;)

I have to bake today, you know like actual cakes and stuff. I'm going to be so pissed when people eat all my hard work tommorow and if I see someone leave a half eaten something I may have to slap them about the head and demand 'do you know how long it took me to make that?' I'm not cut out for catering I fear *g*

Ohh - good site for you www.bpoi.org It's a nonfandom message board. Well, it came about because of Pern, but it's mostly non fandom. Lots of very witty people on tehre. I think you'd like it.
