Sky1 mix is trying to kill me right now. Mutant X at 9. Angel at 10. X-Files at 11. Then in the afternoon Andromeda, Stargate and Trek. So much goodness on one channel. Then on Sunday they're playing the Farscape mini series *loves on Sky1* I've really spent too much time watching tv the last few days as I watched and slept my cold away and playing Sims2 with Corey of course. We've been playing when he comes home from school and my goodness the drama. We started with a family based on us, Terri, James and Corey. Creating the sims to look like us was so funny and I ended up this busty thing in a slinky dress with wavy blonde hair, which is nothing like me *g* So we played, skirted over the 'what's woohoo?' issue while Corey made the sims do that as often as possible then tragedy! Corey Sim was taken away by the social worker. There was angst in the air that night I tell you.

So we moved on and played with one of the pre loaded families. The one I later found out were destined to have male pregnancies after being abducted by aliens. Which means at the moment we have the three curious brothers, plus their four green skinned babies/children. I really need to set up my own house again. I miss my Sims1 family. The house of Kirkpatrick love will be a lonely place now, all dusty and unloved and it makes my heart ache, man. Thinking of poor Chris and his harem of pink speedoed boy toys with the homicidal Homer wandering around, matches in hand as he looks for more destruction. You just know if he had a face he'd be cackling evilly, and if you've just friended me this will make no sense, so really. Just ignore me *g*

Corey brought home a letter from Cubs on Monday which needs to be signed so he can have permission to use the air guns. I'm pretty conflicted on the idea. I'm totally against gun use but at the same time they stress that they're shooting at targets that aren't animal or people shaped and the rest of the group would be learning leaving him out if I didn't sign. Plus at least he'd be learning how to handle them correctly from a qualified instructor. What it comes down to however is the fact the thought of him holding a gun of any kind makes me shudder. Adding to the complication is James thinks it's a great idea that he learns, as does my brother and I know Corey would enjoy it. The thing is I just don't get why anyone would want to shoot at things, but that's me and I suspect he will be allowed to do it in the end.

In other news, Kay's left home again after the whole situation up there exploded again. Things have been calmish so long I should have known a big blow up was due. The thing is no one's really sure what's set it off. There's just bitter arguments, nasty text messages and hurt feelings all around at the moment with me slap bang in the middle. Things are just a mess as usual but I guess all I can do is wait it out.

YAY, good things. The parcel I've been waiting for from Amazon finally arrived. If only I had a transporter so I could send it to France now :D

Aw, your Sims remind me of mine... I've got to fire it back up and resurrect Chris so JC will be happy again. :)

Wow, is Sky the best or what? And wheeeeeeee you'll watch Angel too? Though there's quite the tragedy going on with The Mouse because I watched the last episode of my last box set last night and now... now I don't have any new Angel to watch until I buy the others *angsts like only a fangirl and drama queen can do*

The air gun issue is a bit unnerving alright. Are little girls also part of the Cubs or do they have their own groups? And if they do, are they required to learn to shoot things too, I wonder?

And sorry for the Kayleigh thing. Hopefully it'll work out just fine... and you won't have to wait too long for it either *sigh*

Ohhh France, you say? Neat! And I don't suppose you received my parcel? I think it should have arrived by now *ponders*

Ohh and apparently there's another rerun of TS on the sci-fi channel?? Twice a day it seems - is it a cable network, did you see it?

Heavens, I haven't played the Sims in ages. Must correct that! If I disappear, it's your fault ;-)

How old is Corey? I'm completely against gun use myself. BUT as a kid was shown how to properly fire a rifle by my dad. His loose rule is what I modified to be my rule. His rule was no guns until you knew better than to shoot a squirrel. My rule is no guns real or play until death is a concrete concept.

I'm glad I know how to shoot a gun. I'm far less freaked at the sight of them because of it, and I won't accidentaly shoot myself with one. I still loathe them and don't allow 'my' kids in a house where I know guns are present. Still.... if Scrumpkin [the oldest] and his cub scout den do go to a range to learn... he's nearly got the whole death thing down.

It's a very hard decision and one I do not envy you. Stand by what you believe and good luck!

I wish I had such a great TV channel! Austrian/German day-time TV is crap, at least it gets a bit better at night. Almost makes me wish that I'd be back at work ;-).

I can understand your feelings about gun use. I feel the same way and so did my parents. My brother and I weren't even allowed to play with "war toys" (play guns, water guns) when we were children. And I really prefer it that way.

I've been meaning to play with one of the pre-loaded Sims2 families for awhile just haven't gotten around to it yet. Now that I know there's a whole MPREG family, however, changes things ;)

I miss Sims Chris and his harem of pink speedoed boy toys. I can't say I miss homicidal Homer much, but if he comes with the rest, why not?

The guns thing is tough, but it would be better for him to learn from a trained instructor rather than from one of his friends. If he chooses to handle a gun at some point in his life, he's going to do it and, most likely, nothing you say or do will stop him. At least if he's been trained, he'll handle it safely. I hope you work out a solution that you can all agree to and feel comfortable with.

*hugs you*
