It's always a relief when something isn't as bad as you worked it up to be. I've just came back from the hospital appointment which I've been dreading and it wasn't that bad at all. That is once I got over the shock it wasn't actually at the hospital but the hospice. But yeah, I was there nearly three hours talking to a lovely nurse about my legs and I now have a nifty card saying if I even suspect an infection I have to have a doctors appointment immediately and if that's a no go a ER visit. Plus a whole load of creams and massage techniques James is being taught so he can help put them on. I also have to try and lie down for half an hour with my legs up a few times a day, which doesn't sound bad ;)

Anyway, it's over and done with now until I go back in 8 weeks, hopefully with lovely nice skin instead of the mess it is now. Oh, and she said I had thin toes, I think I may revel in that comment for the next few months, I've never had thin anything before *g*

Now I'm going to go drink my soup, read a bit then get ready to go to my doctors appointment. I'm just glad James is off as it's the most filthy day, cold, snowing, windy. The kind of day for being inside not out.

Man, so am I!

I was fretting so badly last night because it was such a three hour appointment and I didn't know what they were going to do. As it was it was a lot of talking, leg fondling and toe pinching, which was cool *g*

I'm feeling quite happy, especially as I know what's wrong now and can make steps to both get better and prevent it happening again. The only bad thing was a I'm not allowed to use perfumed shower gel any more as it dries up the skin :( But really that's a tiny thing and not worth thinking about.

So yes, thank you :D

It sounds good in theory, sadly I have to go out soon *g*

But how are you? Surviving your visitor?

Well, you do it when you come home then. ;-รพ

But how are you? Surviving your visitor?
I think I'll survive, as he goes home again tomorrow. I can hardly wait though. :-/ He just bugs me on so many levels. *grr* But still it's weird to not be able to see him for the next two years (unless I go and see him, which I'm planning on doing since another friend of mine lives in Toronto)...hopefully it'll work better once he comes back from Canada. I just want him to leave now..... *grr*

I probably will. I should have a lap top really, then I could lie with that and be totally relaxed ;)

I'm sure you can survive until tomorrow, just hang in there, he'll soon be gone.

I didn't think I'd ever say it, but I think I need some TricC pr0n now. Like with owies and stuff. *eg*

omfg he almost read that comment. Darn sneaky.... *grrr* Did I mention a need for owie pr0n?

It went better than I thought it would. Which just shows expecting the worst is the wrong thing to do.

He does have to *g* I could do it myself but he wanted to and next thing he knew was being instructed how to do it properly *g*

I'm happy to hear that everything was okay at the Doctor! I am a worry wart and always dread any doctor's appointments...even to the dentist.

I was totally dreading this one, mainly because it was something new and I had no idea what they'd do. Then to get there and find the unit was part of the hospice...eep!

But everything was good which was a relief.

How's your other half? Is his hand feeling a bit better?

Least you got snow. It's been raining the whole #$&*( day here. At least snow sticks somewhat. I was slipping and sliding my way to Sains and back, plus my lecture and GAH. [/bitch]

But yay on the legs situation. Yay!

That's great and I hope your legs get better and better. And lying down, propping your legs up, is always a good thing :-D.

It is a good thing, sadly it's harder than you'd think to do so, something to do with the computer being away from the couch ;)

I had a co-worker (she's retired now) with a bad leg and she used to have a little stool under the desk where she could prop up her leg. Maybe you should try that too.
