I was at a wedding all day yesterday, the one that's been causing all the strife in my house because I just didn't want to go. But we did, setting off early yesterday and travelling down. The service was okay, it was a civil service but the guy doing it was really nice so he helped make it special. It's just a shame about after. Instead of a sit down reception they'd booked a pub for the day and the SiL had catered a buffet, which was okay. But what wasn't was this horrendous wedding singer they'd booked too, he was terrible. I could only understand every other word he was saying and most of that was him taking the piss about of people which I hate. He never got clapped once and the one time a couple got up to dance he said after he thought they were going to collapse they were so old. I mean, if you finally get some dancers don't insult them.

After he finally went we had to leave the pub while it shut for two hours, because yes, we had to come back for the night time do. So in those two hours the MiL, FiL, niece, Corey, James and I ended up eating chips at the bitterly cold sea front while dressing in our best wedding gear. Sadly we had to go back but the evening was made bearable by a few bottles of cherry vodka, little ones though *g*

We did have to come home early as mam started to send dodgy text messages. She texted about 8 asking James if he'd pick her up from the pub then got in a strop because he couldn't, because hello, a few hours drive away remember. Which she knew. Next thing we know we get a nasty text saying our dog had pissed all over her house, she was fuming and don't we dare take him there again. So we came home and found that she wasn't even home yet and was in fact still sitting at the pub and had been all day. So saying that about Tex was one of her usual lies because we wouldn't pick her up. Which I should have known really.

Anyway, there was good points. Like James' speech going okay ( he was one of the best men ) which was good as he threw me off my computer the night before to write it. Also, my text porn ladies came through again! How I'd survive without them I don't know. I also managed to brazen out the looks I got when our camera was passed around so people could look at the pictures that had been taken, and yes, the bobbleheads rimming the KKbearA were still on there *g*

And now I go as I want to read the flist and talk to [livejournal.com profile] castalie.

Mmm, cherry vodka. Weddings mostly suck, I don't think I've been to one yet that didn't bore me senseless.

Cherry vodka is of the good...mmmmmm.

Wedding's however are not. I totally agree, most are really boring.

You need to give me your mobile phone number so that I can text you. Oh, and speaking of mobile phones, you still owe me a voice mail message. ;-รพ

*hugs you* Next time maybe Tex SHOULD piss all over her house?! [/eBil]

the last time I went to a wedding, I sat through most of the service, holding my gramma's hand as she chanted under her breath "what sort of people did my grandson get involved with?" My cousin's wife and her bridesmaids all looked like whores, the bride's mother looked like the worst of the "whore patrol" and was far, far too old for her outfit, makeup or the way she was acting. First wedding I was ever at where the minster asked the brides mother to "kindly get off that man's lap and behave yourself madame." (she'd decided half way through the surface that 'weddings make me horny' and started trying to suck her 'boyfriends' tonsils out while grinding on his lap, with her dress hiked up so she could straddle his lap)

Yeah, pleasant wedding. *rolls eyes* Gramma and I left the service, went to the reception long enough to leave the gift and card we'd bought and then went back to the hotel, where we decided that the 6 hour drive we'd made for the wedding was "not worth it" and that my cousin's new wife and her family were "frightening."

lol.

lol.

Surprisingly my cousin and his wife are still together. Then again, from what his sister used to tell me before she died last July, I think my "dear" cousin has gone wild himself, so Gramma probably was right when she said he'd gotten himself into something. I'm just glad that his wife dressed more tastefully at my gramma's funeral.

Her mother. ugh. I still can vividly picture her though. And I'm sorry, I don't care how horny you are, you just do not make-out with or grind on someone in a church!

He really was.

He spent most of the time making fun of our accents and really, there was no need.

Weddings are boring, yes. If my sister is there with me, we usually have a good time being impolite and talking to each other about anything. But that's the only thing you can do if you want to remain sane.

I also managed to brazen out the looks I got when our camera was passed around so people could look at the pictures that had been taken, and yes, the bobbleheads rimming the KKbearA were still on there *g*
Ahahahaha, this is the bad thing about digital cameras. I'm not sure if my pictures have ever been that interesting, though.

Weddings really can be boring. This one surely was, especially the god damn wedding singer!

I had to laugh when they found the FKbearA pictures, not that I explained. Some things just need sweeping over when you're in company like that ;)

Eeeheeheheee, FK(Bear)Ass, lol

And okay, awful wedding? Channel it into a fic.

Really, can you not just see it? Like, TrickC, have to go to the worst wedding *ever*, and JC has to keep Chris on his best behavior... ..and then the god-awful wedding singer comes on, and Chris has to practically physically restrain JC to keep an outlandish scene from occuring...

..of course, outlandish scenes are often fun to witness....

Outlandish scenes really are fun to witness, and I can totally see the scene you created *g*

I really could have done with them there yesterday to liven the place up.
