Damn Word

Had a major panic last night when I was writing Chapter 2 of the AU. I pressed something in Word and the whole thing disappeared. I freaked I have to admit. After messing a bit I saw that I could highlight the words, the paragraphs showed up as black blocks, but I couldn't paste into a new document or anything. Leading to one frantic mail to Sentinel Angst, where I knew someone would have an idea. I did manage to get it pasted into notepad eventually and Word back to normal when I rebooted the computer. But I still lost the last page that I did before autosave had kicked in. I hate Word sometimes :(

OH man, I'm sorry to hear this. It sure brought back some bad memories to me too. Do you remember when I lost *all* of BPS??? Man...I swear I could have cried!

At least you were able to save the rest of your work. It's something... sometimes I think our computers just do not understand the important of what we're writing on them!!

Ah ah! Here is some job for the geeky villain with an... *reads notes* evil slashy mind *puts away notes* - to fight against those moronic computers which don't do what they're supposed to!

*frowns* Wait... that would be a righteous task... and I'm supposed to be a villain... Oh man, I wish that stupid test hadn't put me in the villain section, it's such a hard work!

Okay, I'll save my metal suit for some other evil work *sighs* *mumbles* sorry about your computer btw *hugs* (I know, villains aren't supposed to hug people, but I came out of character anyway, so there)

Oh man, I was looking forward to seeing you in your kinky metal suit. But you're right, it just wouldn't be the same seeing you doing something good.

I'll wait until you need to do something evil, then I'll be there to watch within seconds.

Man do I ever! That was a nightmare, I'm just glad that I'd saved them.

You're right, at times computers are the devil's spawn. I adore Blue2 but god, he can piss me off sometimes.

Ack! Stupid, supid program -- I swear, Word is posessed sometimes! I've had that happen, and my most consistent woe is the completely wacky and random rural power company I'm on -- the lights blink off for no good reason, just long enough to shut the system down and lose everything I haven't saved since the last, obssessive" "save to disc" (which I do about once per 5 minutes).

Glad you got some back, but SO sorryt he last page went away ;(

Looks like Word's failing's are well known. I wouldn't mind so much but I actually like it as my WP programme. But every so often it just does stupid things that drive me insane.

I obsessively save to disc too, but in this case not as often as I should have, ie losing that last page.

It must be terrible having power that unreliable, that would drive me nuts.
