I so love Challenge weekend. Seeing all the pictures and reports is just so cool and I'm thrilled for everyone who's over there. As for me I'll be sitting here looking for any info I can get and squeeing happily to myself. Which I really will be as my boys are heading off to Alton Towers ( a huge amusement park ) on Saturday for the day while I stay here because of the whole foot/not being able to walk that well at the moment thing. Which is fine because like I said, Challenge! Woo! I can fangirl without fear *g*
That is if my sister doesn't come down. She's managed to break her computer again, the third one she's had in as many years, so comes down here twice a day to use mine lately.
Fannish wise things are good. I've been writing and downloading, Dead Like Me and America's Top Model. Man, I'm hooked on that show so wanted to see the earlier seasons and they were just there and I'm not made of stone! I've also been reading a lot, loading stuff onto my handheld and lying in bed in front of the fans. Which is just lovely. I actually started to read a Due South story today, I'm not really a DS as such, I know the show and can tell the Rays apart but that's it. But this story is about hockey and I adore hockey so so much. So you know hockey and characters I can recognise, it's all good. I just wish
couchrules would write more of her hockey au as I like it a lot.
RL wise, well things are okay there too. Corey breaks up for summer holidays next week for seven weeks and hopefully we'll get away for a couple of days. James wants me to go camping but really, the whole sleeping on the ground thing is a huge negative point. Money wise things are still blah, but James has put in his notice for his job and is starting a new one with more money soon. Fingers crossed that'll be the start of good things financial wise.
And that's it, I'm just that exciting. Except no, I must make one point before I go. Chris. Most beautiful man in the world, despite what some people say *g*
ETA: I could kick Frank for not telling me about this earlier, because eeeeeee!!! In my post about the mini sparkly con
nopseud wrote this and really, just, squee! Man, I love people who indulge my kinks, even if they're supposed to be sekrit ;)

Date: 2005-07-15 08:14 am (UTC)I was so looking forward to it and things happened and plans slipped away. I think there's tentative plans for meeting up between Oct and Christmas at nopseuds but if you don't want to go there we'll meet up somewhere else for sure when you come back. I know seiyaharris and simply_fly_away both want to meet so it's just finding out when.

Date: 2005-07-16 07:19 am (UTC)And re: the dS fic you're reading, is that Hawks and Hands? Because if it is, man that was captured me like you wouldn't believe when I read it, it was so brilliant, so compelling! And it's not, then you have to read it *g*
