Sep. 24th, 2005 12:52 pmIt's my dad's partner's birthday party tonight. I'm not wildly excited about going but I'm not dreading it either, just so so about a night of sitting with the relatives, listening to dodgy music and eating from the buffet. First though we have to go buy Corey some dress clothes because unsurprisingly the stuff he has is far too small. We'll be doing that when James comes home from work, he's doing overtime which meant getting up at a disgusting hour, but it's a half a day at time and a half so its worth it. Not that made getting up any easier, alarm clocks should be banned on a weekend.
The only problem about today is I won't be able to watch Numb3rs until late tonight. The torrent is at 57% now, so close but we have to go out, then get ready, then go out again and Don and Charlie will be waiting for me and I won't be here. It's to cry I tell you.
To distract myself, a meme.
Chances are people you don't even know are being introduced to your journal every day, either randomly or through someone else. In addition to recent entries, people can get to know you better by what you posted in the past. With that in mind post a link to your entries on this day three months ago, six months ago, nine months ago, a year ago, and two years ago. If there was no entry on that day, link the closest date.
Three months ago I'd been to the hospital to see the dietician and then the dermatologist. Anyone surprised I was at a medical appointment? Nope? Thought not.
Six months ago I did one of those memes where people ask you questions and you answer without giving the question, strangely a lot of the answers seemed Chris related. Who would have guessed? ;) I'd also just read Parallel Connections Over Symmetric Spaces the fantastic Numb3rs story. ( Torrent is now at 80.6%. Hurry up torrent! Download like the wind for me! )
Nine months ago it was Christmas Eve. SeSa had gone live and I loved the story written for me, Stardust, so so good. I also posted again at night. I love Christmas eve and this is why. It's just gone 11:30 here. Corey is asleep, James is asleep on the couch and the dog is asleep too. There's a mince pie and sherry on the mantle piece, carrots and milk on the doorstep. The turkey is in the oven and the vegetables prepared. All I need to do now is bring the sack of presents in and wait for the turkey to cook. It's so peaceful just now with that special Christmas Eve magic that I love so much.Today has been so busy but totally worth it. *basks in the memories*
A year ago it was eight days to Connotations and I was sort of freaking out, okay, I was freaking out. I was also saying how I may be meeting
interlock for the first time, which is weird as it feels like I've known her forever. Later that day I also posted a private version of the story I was doing for
northernveil's Sick and Twisted challenge.
Two years ago I was talking about the first gay kiss on Coronation Street and how I couldn't find any Sliders slash, and I still can't. I mean, what's up with that people? Quinn and Colin? That's some cesty goodness right there.
93.8%. So close now!

Are you downloading Numb3rs too? Because if you are I bet you don't have to wait until tonight to watch, thinking of the pretty while sitting in a smokey club, a paper plate with a dodgy sandwiches on your lap and your nanna at your side as bad music plays so loud you can't think!
All I want is to see Don and Charlie, is that too much to ask?!
I DON'T LIKE YOU EITHER ESPECIALLY AS I HAVE TO GO NOW! ;)
