LJ updates have been infrequent lately due to rl being busy and the fact LJ was acting so screwy that when I did get online I'd give up in frustration. Unable to post comments, get comments, read the flist in order, not good LJ. The kicker was being unable to post the Sentinel Thursday challenge until Saturday, Frank the goat was being smited I tell you.

It did mean I had time to work on the living room more, we're so close now. Just one wall to do and we're done. We also did a lot of shopping, hitting the shopping centers for Christmas gifts. My mam was a lifesaver and offered to lend us some money until James' payday because the thought of shopping for everything three days before Christmas was making me want to curl up and cry. So we hit metrocenter again yesterday and managed to get nearly everything we wanted for Corey. Thing was we didn't go alone, oh no. As usual if we go anywhere we end up taking assorted in laws. If we had a bigger car they'd all go but as it is only the SiL, MiL, niece and nephew came. The car was packed because having a seven seater is all well and good but having all the seats up cuts into boot space, especially when you have a buggy too.

To add to the fun the MiL was having a bad leg day so had to be pushed in a wheelchair. Shopping with a weeks old baby in a buggy, a three year old who wants to touch everything, a nine year old and someone in a wheelchair is interesting let me tell you. Especially when you hit those shops that are packed so tightly it's like entering a scrum. Of course the topper was when Andrew projectile vomited his milk in Burger King. But despite the annoyances it was a good visit and I have the satisfaction of knowing I have gifts just waiting to be wrapped now. A delivery from Amazon just came so that's something else to cross off the list, I've started writing my cards and my SeSa has had.... okay, I've written zero new words on that, but I've looked at it, that counts.

In WTF are my dreams on news. I dreamt I'd rejoined the Voyager fandom and had gone to a meeting of the Trek slashers, but for some reason I took Corey too and was sitting discussing The Taming of Tom Paris with him, which is a story I enjoy but one I'd never show to him. Another WTF!? The cap on my tooth just dropped out, I now have a gap in my teeth which shows if I smile, so I'm not going to. In fact I think I'll just scowl until my dentist's appointment on Wednesday.

Also, it's snowing, huge fat flakes that are lying. Corey was ecstatic this morning, James is hoping for it to keep falling so he's sent home from work, I'm just hoping I don't fall on my ass when I go to school *g*

You're very brave for going shopping with all those people. I'm going tomorrow, but I'm only going to take my sister with me. She's 18 years old and can already walk all by herself and doesn't want to touch everything she sees. ;)

I hope your shopping trip is going well today.

I actually enjoyed my trip mostly, I mean, there were pretty things to look at and christmas music and I just love all that stuff. It's just, it would have been better without all the hangers on ;)

*snorts* Heh. Yeah.

Christmas shopping = YAY!! (if you get anything done).

And LJ sucks quite a bit at the mo. *nods* *pokes missing notification e-mails*

Shopping with a weeks old baby in a buggy...

Well I tried to scowl all the time, but it's hard work doing that *g*

I love Christmas shopping, even the music that some people get annoyed at makes me happy. Heck I just love Christmas full stop :)

I'm hoping LJ is fixed now, I seem to be getting comments finally. I just wonder where all the undelivered ones are. Probably lost in cyber space now.

Babies are awesome, so cuddly and lovely. It's always good when you can give them back though ;)

All our snow is nearly gone now, it was lovely when it lasted though. Huge fat flakes drifting in the night sky.

*hugs* just because.

I think I got my wish...it wa short lived but at least I got to see snow. Clinton woke me up at 7:30 this morning to have me look outside. Big fat flakes of snow were coming down. It looked beautiful!

Well no, because you sprinkle fairy dust and everything magically appears! A table groaning with food, cards written and sent, presents wrapped beautifully under a twinkling tree as carols play on the stereo.

Of course what really happens is a heck of a lot of work, but I wouldn't change a thing :)

Also, you in a Santa hat? Best thing ever!

really? that sounds awesome. also, the boy with the blue eyes is singing about something under his tree. that sounds highly appealing to me.

Shopping to the mall with your in-laws sounds like quite the adventure lol Not that I'm laughing at you at all, of course *shakes head*

Also, I'm kinda hating everyone who's getting snow atm. Or maybe not because I love you and everything but still. I'd better get snow in the next two months!

Sure you're not laughing *g*

It really was an adventure. At one point the MiL and Sil headed off somewhere and left me with all three kids. Making sure Corey didn't steer the buggy into a display and making Keira put down a small tree hung with fragile baubles was so much fun.

Of course you'll get snow! Because Santa is good like that and will arrange it for you *nods*
