Feb. 7th, 2006 03:27 pmHappy birthday,
erilyn. I hope you're having/had a fantastic day!
Corey has been feeling off colour for a while so we took him to the doctors this morning. He's been complaining of a bad back, headaches, hurting chest etc. The back I put down to playing rugby every day last week, but the rest snuck up on him over the weekend. Verdict is he's hurt his back due to rugby and got a virus on top of that. So it's rest and paracetamol today then back to school tomorrow. I've an appointment to see the nurse at 5:30 and asked if I could cancel that and get one tomorrow instead, so I don't have to drag him down there later. Only to be told that the next available appointment is a week today, which is no good at all. For one thing I'm supposed to see her twice a week, plus my nurse was off on Friday gone so I didn't see her then. It's a pretty big practice I attend and right now they have one full time and one part time nurse working there, which is just insane. A good thing though, the dr who saw Corey said how well I was looking, which is a compliment I'm more than willing to take. Especially as I have a minor cold myself which means a red nose and blotchy face right now *g*
Hopefully he'll be better soon, because we have plans for his birthday weekend. We're taking Corey and two friends to the Fun Shack on Sat afternoon, then back home where we'll have a tea party for the relatives and assorted friends. Then on Sunday we're going to the cinema to see Chicken Little. I need to go buy a cake and birthday type stuff sometime this week, and get the house tidied all the way through too. Which will happen, sometime, just not today.
Today is a day for puttering about and watching the rest of my downloaded Project Runways. This addiction I'm getting to that kind of show is getting out of hand. Practically every day I have a show I have to watch, and they're all some kind of weird reality thing. But man, they're fun.

Date: 2006-02-08 04:29 pm (UTC)I became interested because a brit version just started here, but I'd heard a lot about the US version too, and was interested enough to download all the eps.
It basically a show about fashion and design. Each week the people taking part are given an assignment and have to make an outfit in a certain amount of time. For example, the last one I saw they had to make an ice skating dress within hours. They get the assignment, make the outfit, then have to model their design on their own model and are then judged on how it looks, is made etc.
Which sounds pretty boring, but what makes it interesting is the people taking part. They live together in four apartments and there's some big personalities between them. Plus, there's lovely slashy moments between two of the boys. There's the bitch who took someone's model ( which was totally in the rules as she's won the challenge and could swap models if she wanted, but no one does you know?) The totally annoying man who has issues and thinks he deserves to win. So many varied people that really intrigue me.
The official site is here (http://www.bravotv.com/Project_Runway_2/About/) if you want to see more, and you know, I have all the eps on Silver if needed ;)
