Mar. 9th, 2006 11:09 amI stayed up far too late getting caught up on LJ last night. Lately it seems I'm always running behind, with about a million tabs open on Firefox. See, I'll read the flist then have to stop to do something. Come back and open another tab because that way at least I'll get the new posts and be able to comment on them. Which is fine until you end up with about seven tabs all with out of date skip numbers on. It's insane I know, it's not like I'll be banished to LJ hell for missing some comments, but I can't not try and get caught up. Plus, when I do that I find stories that I'd otherwise miss. Like,
luxshine is still posting lovely Kevin/Chris stories that I love a lot.
Which reminds me. You people who promised to stop me signing up for challenges. Remind me thinking about joining
7_deadly_sins_ is bad. Because I'm wavering here. Also, *pulls on pimp hat* Luxshine has started two new comms to fit around the 100 stories thing. The first is
nsync_fanfic100 where all the Nsync stories posted to the
fanfic100 comm can be posted. The second is
popslash_100 which is for crossovers between Nsync and BSB. So come on, who's going to join and write me 100 Chris/Kevin stories? I'm waiting here....*taps foot*
The hospital visit went okay yesterday and we were seen pretty quick. I took my book to read, plus Neighbours was on the tv. But you know what those sadists did? We waited in waiting room one watching Neighbours. Poor Susan *sniff* Were called to waiting room two and they had the tv on a different channel! Why do that!? Don't they know people would want to see the end of Neighbours!? Ahem, yes....
The condition James has means the muscle in his lower leg has totally withered away. There's a technical term but damn if I can remember it. That's left his knee really unstable. They're going to try physiotherapy first and if that doesn't help go on from there. James of course is already thinking he's going to need knee and hip surgery because he's a pessimist like that. Apparently the doc was nice, though remarked if James had been born now his feet would have been operated on when he was a baby and would have been normal now. Which you know, that's cool that medical knowledge has come on so far, but at the same time I can't help thinking why say it? It's not like James' leg will grow back or his other foot become undamaged by knowing things have changed.
So he's going to the rehab gym at the hospital once a month. The same place that's down the corridor from my dietician place, so they've given him an appointment twenty minutes after mine which helps cuts into the time we have to go through there. In other good news I had to go see the nurse when we came back and I'm so close to being healed. Wendy's really pleased and has cut down the time between her dressing changes to every five days, which is so cool. Fingers crossed in a few months I won't have to go at all and I can start to get my damn legs sorted out.
But now. House watching!
