Mar. 29th, 2006 03:18 pmThe fact that JC, Lance and Chris are side by side on the top eight of the Nigels 11 myspace makes me very happy and I smile each time I see it. Other things that make me happy, new Who Am I version, a beautiful sunny day, knowing I'll see some of my favourite people very soon, a good book that I'm really enjoying reading, and Josh posting the last part of Super!sync!
I've been following that story for a long time now. I really like superhero stuff, and have become invested in the universe he's created. I've been waiting impatiently for this part because I knew it was going to be h/c heavy and I love h/c so much. I have no shame at all in admitting it's my favourite kind of story. So, a trickc, Super!sync, h/c chapter had me all asquee. I must post a real comment after school because just after reading all I could do was babble on, which yeah. Not that much different to usual I know.
So yes. I've been looking for hotels for my boys. I'm going down to
pensnest's very soon and my boys are coming too. At least they're driving down south then they're going off to do boy stuff all weekend leaving me to my own happy sparkly gathering. The thought of which fills me with joy because I haven't seen everyone forever and watching footage and talking, well listening anyway, sounds just about perfect right now.
The book I'm reading is Bitten by Kelly Armstrong Interlock sent it to me for my birthday and she made a great choice. I've been happily reading about the werewolves each night, usually in a hot bath made all glittery and lovely by a Lush bathbomb. I love the way the werewolves are presented in Bitten, the details of the pack and the way they live, it's all so very cool.
But for now I need to go get ready to pick up the kidlet. See if it's as nice outside as it looks from in here.

Date: 2006-03-29 02:47 pm (UTC)I've never been a werewolf buff per se but I do remember reading The Wolf's Hour (http://www.robertmccammon.com/novels/the_wolfs_hour.html) by Robert McCammon when I was a kid and positively loving it - it was brilliant! Come to think of it, I wouldn't mind reading it again. Or maybe treat myself with an English copy this time :-)

Date: 2006-03-29 03:25 pm (UTC)I was never a werewolf buff either, but I've found a new ppreciation for the genre lately. It's the world building I really like, the way the community is described and co exists with the 'normal' world.
The Wolf's Hour looks great, I'll have to add it to my list of books to try.

Date: 2006-03-29 04:22 pm (UTC)I thought the book might interest you *g* As the one you're reading, I might investigate as well. I have to say I always love the idea of the whole 'pack' thing. Hey! Reminds me of that TS werewolf story... where the alpha male - a cousin of Blair's IIRC - wants him and all. Well, he's a smart alpha, that's for sure, cause who wouldn't desire Blair, right? Except it's not that smart going after what belongs to Jim, but whatever *eg*
