turps: (CRAMP!)
[personal profile] turps
We ended up taking Corey to casualty last night. He'd fallen into a bush at school, don't ask, and had hurt his heels. I'd have rather been anywhere but casualty on a Friday night, but he'd only walk on his tip toes so figured it's better to be safe than sorry. He was seen by the triage nurse pretty quick, then it was settling in for a two hour plus wait. We were in the kids waiting room which had toys for the kids, but was boiling hot with no tv or magazines. Surprisingly the time went pretty quickly, I suspect I was hypnotised by the ugly winnie the pooh mural on the opposite wall. I tell you, piglet was on drugs and owl looked like someone had goosed him from behind. However, considering the shouting and thuds from the main casualty area I was glad to be in the kids part, no tv or not. Anyway, Corey was seen and he's stretched the ligaments on both feet. There's nothing to be done except keep walking on them and take calpol. Considering he's been running around okay today I'd say he's going to be fine.

So yeah, late evening last night then an early start today when James took an early overtime. Though I got him ready and went back to sleep, only waking up when Corey jumped into bed with me so he could watch tv. This afternoon we've been to see Ice Age 2, which was a great film, the best out of all I've seen lately. Thing is, James fell asleep for half of it so we'll have to go again sometime. Now though I'm waiting for Corey's friend to go so I can go have a soak in the bath. James is out with his friends so my plan is a hot bath with good magazine to read. Then into my pjs to catch up online and watch the eps of Hustle I have recorded.

Everyone needs to go and read [livejournal.com profile] pensnest's poem in honour of Cramp. It's a beautiful thing, full of joy and angst, which really, is what Cramp is all about. Poor Lamp, he loves so hard yet it's all in vain. No one understands how much he loves his Chris :(

Woo, friend is gone! Hot bubbly bath here I come!

He'll be fine I think. It didn't stop him running around today. Of course taking his medicine he's milking it a little *g*

Of course you will. It's obvious the Winnie was doing a little owl butt groping. You just know as soon as Christopher Robin goes home there's going to be a critter orgy

Sore feet are the suck. But he seems to be running around fine now. Lets hope he stays that way.

Not from me, I don't fall in bushes that's for sure *g*

Ice Age 2 was amazing! It was so much fun to watch, even surrounded by millions of kids like we were.
