Before I mention anything else, [livejournal.com profile] msktrnanny wrote the most gorgeous wrist licking trickc in comments. Just reading it made me smile so big because, just, theyloveeachothersomuch! Check it out here.

James' laptop was delivered last night, and man, it's huge! The screen is bigger than the desk top, which is big indeed. It seems to be a very media focussed computer and already I'm looking forward to watching downloaded shows lying on the couch instead of at my desk. It came with a printer and funky bag and he's very happy right now.

Of course he wasn't earlier. He hasn't even started to hook up the wireless, last night and this morning was spent sorting out the emails, as BT in their wisdom had locked him out of his account. Mine were fine, but his was totally locked. Then when they tried to sort it they knocked us back down to dial up. Then basic broadband even though we pay for the top one available. It took a huge amount of time to sort out, in fact, I woke this morning to the sound of him cursing angrily when he was put on hold once more. But, fingers crossed, that's good now.

Tonight my cousin is coming through to sort out this whole money mess. The amount I don't want to go to this meeting is off the scale. I'm the least confrontational person ever but at the same time, this needs to be sorted. I was talking to my brother last night and we're going in united on this, I just hope mam stays home today. If she's been drinking we've had it, and what's a mess already will become something worse. I just wish it was late tonight and everything was over with.

But anyway. Better things, and what's better than thinking about

Is there a character type that you fall for every time, e.g. the hero, the bad boy, the geek, the anti-hero?

I've been thinking about this and the answer is a sort of. If you think of the characters I like, Tom Paris, Richie, Nick Boyle, Brennan, Chris to an extent, they fall into the bad boy type. Doing their own thing in their own way. But that doesn't fit for people like Blair or Kevin. I mean, both of them can be unconventional ( yes, even Kevin who's not just a boring pair of eyebrows *glares toward certain people* ) but bad boys, nope. So, I guess I'll go for I like unconventional people.

What about sex in fic--must have; can take it or leave it; how many times can you insert Tab A into Slot B?

Sex in stories is of the good, but I can take it or leave it. A hot story isn't always about actual sex. Someone holding hands, a kiss against a neck, someone resting their head against someone else's shoulder. There doesn't even have to be touching. One character could be watching the other, seeing things like a sliver of skin between trousers and shirt, that delicious spot where the collarbone dips. If that's described well it can be damn hot. Plus, I'm quiet happy with stories with no sex at all. It can be about love, about friendship, and that's damn cool.

But you know. Stories with sweaty monkey sex are good too. I'm easy like that :)

Slash, het, gen, or give me it all, babe?

Slash mostly. I mean, what's the point of stopping at one pretty boy? Having two or more is always better. Unless you want to read hot wanking fic, then one is fine, but even so. Hot wanking fic with added voyeurism is a plus there. Okay, getting distracted here. Slash will always be my first choice, but I like gen too. I came into fandom on a het pairing so know it can be good to read. I just choose not to mostly.

Are there any types of stories you crave, i.e. hurt/comfort, humor, AUs, adventure, kink etc?

I'm all about the h/c, always have been. I'm way past being ashamed of that, it's just how it is. The more they hurt the happier I am. That's the constant craving, but I also have short term ones. Times where I need to read fisting, rimming, first time, bondage, deathfic, humour etc. Then I'll raid my hard drive to get the fix that I need.

OTP--Do you have one, or do you like to read a range of pairings?

Well, that depends. Most times I have OTPs. Jim/Blair, Brennan/Jesse, Methos/Richie, Kevin/Nick, Chakotay/Paris, but that goes out of the window for Nsync. Sort of anyway. I do have an OTP, trickc. I love them, like a lot. They make me happy and it feels right, but at the same time I'm just as happy reading any Chris pairing. I read them all and love them, so in that sense I don't have an Nsync OTP as such. Except I really do and it'll always be trickc. If that makes no sense, well, it does to me.

Bullet proof kink--Do you have any and are you willing to share?

Do you have all day to read my list? But cutting it down, I've read some insane stuff to get a h/c hit. Like right now I'm reading through a site where the stories are little more than crack, and badly written crack at that. Yet I'm still reading because damn, it's hitting my kinks.

No, he also wears skirts and makes fun of Howie and kicks down doors and takes names and is very free and easy with his love and also, his wife was in SPN! I totally blanked on that when I watched the ep!

Ahem. *g*

Yes! Yes he is!

He's so much more than a koala falling down and wrapping around someone's head until they're dead!

But why didn't you share these Kevin facts when he was being mocked at Pen's!? *peers at you suspiciously*

I'm fairly certain I tried (though admittedly, not very hard) but was ignored. Yes. Also, I totally defended his performing on stageness in Chicago. Even if it was in the 'he came on stage and he had personality!' way lol

I know I definitely said that I thought he is a fiercely friend and thinks through whatever he says. I don't think he's really boring, just that he is very careful about what he says *g*

It's okay. I know you tried. Unlike some people ;)

But no, it's all good. I really do think he's interesting and a cool guy, just saddled with an unfortunate voice. I can admit this and still love him *g*

*goes off waving Kevin flag high*

the koalla thing makes him more interesting to me - maybe that's just what I needed to open my mind to the possibilities of Kevin.

You fly that flag my love, you Kevin fans must sing his praises *g*

He just really does have this monotone voice, it's just very hard to lsiten to what he's saying. But as Billy Flynn he was was fantastic!

So you're saying Kevin as a murderous koala makes him more interesting to you. Very cool and so very you *g*

But, does that extent to Koala sex? Maybe with the little meercat?

Kevin as a koala? That makes Nick and Brian re-enacting (at a soundcheck) a koala attacking Brian even more intriguing...

I hope everything will be sorted out quickly and without too much tears re: the cousin and money thing *fingers crossed*

Nice meme! The sex thing? I was reading a m/m novel today and I realised that too much smut might actually become boring, so I'll say that yes, smut is always nice, but it's absolutely not mandatory. Also, I second what you said about those little touches and glances that can be sex, though they're not smutty per se. In a lot of cases, I even love them better than the downright smut scene. Though sure, I'll love the hot and dirty sex like the next slasher, you know? *g*

Reading the meme was verrrry interesting! I think I'll do that one later when I'm sitting around here wishing it was Easter already.

That site scares me! But I totally know what you mean. The site I'm on has the most badly written stories ever, yet I keep reading through because they hit my buttons so hard.

It was a nice meme to think about I must admit. I mean, it's a good distraction thinking on what and who you like *g*

The cousin and money thing is going to drag I think. I've just got home not long ago and honestly, I want to bang some heads together just now. These people are adults but behave like stubborn kids....sigh.

I really liked this meme, it allowed me to think of the men and the things I like for one thing *g*

You so understand where I'm coming from about the sex. Yes, I love the down and dirty stuff, but I don't have to read it. It's so many other things too. Which you obviously get :)

Eh. When I don't think about it, I'm okay, but...there's just too many young dead people around me lately, you know? My job is bad for that.
