turpsIt's been such a lovely day today. We've been to nanna's and the in laws, then headed to the beach where Corey and I rummaged around the sand to find shells. It was sunny and the sea was just there, and really, it's been a good day. Especially as James has turned into a little bit of a Chris fanboy. I burned Say You Will and Who Am I? on a disc last week, since then he plays them each time we're in the car, over and over again. It seems Chris from Nsync is mockable but Chris alone with this style of music isn't at all. Go figure. Not that I care, quite the opposite.
We're taking nanna out for the day tomorrow which should be fun, really it will.... No, it's all good, except I have to keep the music in the car down low which is a minor thing. But man, I hope she's got all of her back handed compliments out of her system today. The you've got such a pretty face but.... thing gets old.
Anyway, we may or may not be going to the cinema later, we haven't really decided yet, but for now I'm here and I have hot chocolate and time, so figured why not gack another meme.

I love that you have your OTP and stick with it, yet aren't rabid and stupid doing so. You're always prepared to have fun about your OTP, while I've seen other fans who'd snap your hand off for suggesting the Justin should be with anyone but JC, and other pairings of course.

I did like working for Disney. I worked with some fabulous people and for years it was great fun to talk to people about their upcoming trips etc. The discount was fantastic [I went to WDW more times in those nine years!] We sold quality stuff and the oush wasn't on SALES. The company was very cool, ground breaking in a lot of ways. We had a great time because we were encouraged to be entertained and entertaining and to enjoy what we did and it showed. We all got along, it was an unbelievable support system. 11 years later and I still speak to a great many of those people weekly, know I could count on any of them if I needed to. I got to be a part of all that magic for a while and I will forever be greatful for it.
Believe it or not, at one point we had Nsync on 'the wall' [we had a wall of TV screens with a disc that plays over and over... every other month or so they'd send a new disc of stuff for us to play] and I used to laugh [yes, laugh!] at the teenage girls who came screaming in to the store when the guys showed up on the screen. But in testament to how cool the friends I made there are: they teased me mercilessly about it when I fell into fandom. And then bought me Nsync stuff when they found it and bought JC's album when it came out, stuff like that. They want to hear about Challenge every year and several are onboard for JC's next tour, travel required and all.

Then turn to me and say "How are you? Enjoying uni?" Which, you know. Not exactly good for the ego. And after I ramble on about how glad I am of the academic challenges I'm presented overseas as compared to home, they go "uh-huh" and turn back to my sister.
At least I'm smarter than most of them. HA!
