Apr. 21st, 2006 09:52 pmThose pictures of Chris and Joey make me so happy. Chris' hair, it curls so delightfully and I just want to touch so badly. They're just, beautiful and together and did I mention that gorgeous curling hair. So so pretty.
Corey still isn't well at all. I had to phone James at work yesterday and get him to come home so we could take Corey through to casualty. I felt bad doing that, but there was no way I could get a doctors appointment and I was worried. His rash was getting worse and he was practically passed out on the couch. We were seen quickly though and verdict is a nasty viral infection that's hit his chest, ears and throat. The rash didn't concern them except for one spot that wouldn't blanch but they said just to keep an eye on that. Right now he hasn't eaten for three days, has spoken less than twenty words all of today and yesterday and only gets off the couch to go to the bathroom. I really want him to be yelling for something to eat while sitting at the playstation right now. But he'll be fine, I know that, just it's taking much longer than usual with no real end in sight just yet.
Of course coming home from the hospital and having to deal with mam wasn't fun either. She was damn close to being thrown out of my house last night, but I managed to get her to leave eventually. Today she sat with Corey all afternoon because James and I had to go grocery shopping and pick up the hoover from the in laws, and see. She agreed straight away and looked after him no problem and I trust her totally when she hasn't been out. I wish she wouldn't drink is all, but I've been wishing that a long time and nothing's going to change so *shrugs*
So yes, it's James' payday which meant the big monthly shop. Usually this means the stealth car down the pavement routine but we had a cunning plan and had acquired a trolley from the Co Op opposite our house. Load the groceries in the trolley and push them to the house, easy right? Except no, not at all. First we made the mistake of putting the onions in first. ( We shop at a vegetable wholesale place and had bought a sack of onions ) Of course they took up half the trolley so all the bags wouldn't fit. So okay, we need two trips, that fine. James says, I'll stop here and watch the car while you push the trolley around. I don't think so, I needed help to get the damn trolley up the kerb for one thing. He helped me heave it up, and the wheel landed on my toe, and I was wearing flip flops and I may have cursed and wailed about broken toes awhile. Then I casually pushed my trolley up the hill and to my house, like it's nothing unusual to have astolen borrowed trolley filled with a great big sack of onions and a towering pile of Asda bags on top. I reach my house, open the door and throw in the bags, go back to the car. Load up the rest which included a big tray of mushrooms. They were lovely mushrooms, white and firm, and loose in the tray. I hit the hill, the tray slipped and a load of mushrooms rained to the floor and bounced away behind me.
After picking those up I wheeled away again but decided to go to the back of the house so I could wheel the trolley into the kitchen. So, casual again with my tray of mushrooms proudly displayed on the top of my trolley I made my way up the path, and saw one of my neighbours, an old couple who stopped me asking if I knew who'd died on the estate because there'd been a hearse there and they wanted to know who'd passed away. I had no idea, but still, made small talk and we all pretended the trolley wasn't there *g*
You all wish you had a life as exciting as mine ;)
But hey, at least there's pretty boys to look at. Yes, I know they're everywhere but still, they need to be here too

Date: 2006-04-22 04:13 pm (UTC)stolenborrowed trolley filled with a great big sack of onions and a towering pile of Asda bags on top.Hehehe!
I borrow the trolley from the local supermarket every now and again when I buy my supply of mineral water. The supermarket is just five minutes away and it's usually not a problem to fit everything in my super-duper shopping bag with wheels and bring the groceries home. But when I buy mineral water it's a problem, because I usually buy about 36 bottles (one bottle = 2 liters) and there's no way I can carry that home! But with the trolley it's no problem at all! Yay.
Joey and Chris look so good together! Whee!
