I can be an idiot at times. When you have a nurse's appointment at 2:40 that doesn't mean it's for ten to three. Something I realised at 2:36 as I was just leaving my house. Me = moron today. This meant I was five minutes late and put to the end of the queue, meaning in turn I was late picking Corey up. Luckily mam could pick him up and take him to Kay's until I got there. I'm just lucky my mobile was up to a call as I'd forgotten to charge it and the battery was flashing like crazy. Not helped by James calling as I was just about to walk home. He wanted to tell me there were horrendous storms where he works and really heavy rain, and had I been caught up in it? And no, at the time there was thunder and lightening but no rain, but that could have changed in the time he kept me talking out of doors.

It's horribly clammy and close here. I so want a shower but I have to take Corey to scouts soon, so that'll have to wait until later.

While I'm here, any Brit based people, do you know where to buy pomegranate juice? It's been recommended as good for skin healing but I couldn't find any at Asda. I've been drinking cranberry juice but apparently you're only supposed to have one glass of that a day. Which figures as I love the stuff.

I sometimes pick up pomegranate juice from an organic supermarket near Piccadilly, but I don't suppose that's much help! If you've got an organic shop near you, they're a good bet.

No, I think popping down to London may be a little out of my way *g*

But, I do know of a few organic shops in Sunderland so will try there. Thanks for the suggestion.

I'm sure I meant in terms of other people.

Sigh, mocked at every turn, it's a crying shame ;)

Marks and Sparks do 100% fresh pressed pomegranate juice, hun. I've never tried it so I think I shall purchase some when I'm next in town ^_^!

I love cranberry juice too... why are you only supposed to have one glass a day?

Oh cool. I'll have to call in there next time I'm in town. I've never tried pomegranate juice either but have been told it's good, and I'm more than willing to give it a try. Thanks for the heads up.

The nurse I saw yesterday said you should only have one glass because of what's in it. She didn't elaborate which is a shame as I really do love the stuff, and one glass a day seems mean.

It's the first time I've ever heard that and googling hasn't shone any light on the subject either. So who knows?

It just seems a bit weird because I thought you couldn't have too much cranberry juice, as it is good for your bladder. I know you aren't supposed to take it if you are taking warfarin as anti-coagulant medication because they react badly to each other, but I've never heard of anything else bad *shrugs*!

Possibly because cranbery juice is actualy cranberry juice *drink*, because the raw juice is really bitter, and they tend to be laden with sugar? At least, that's why I'm not allowed to down whole cartons of the stuff ;)

Pom juice - sainsburies and tesco's both stock it - for some reason either with the smoothies or with the sandwiches / cold cans / bottled ater to go sections, rather than in the juice bit. And Holland and Barret.

Morrisons and some other supermarkets ( I've been shopping so many different places lately I can't remember, but I think it's Sainsbury's, at least) - sell a mixture of pomegranate with a little of other juices added, called "Pomegreat"- I drink the pomegranate and cranberry variety. It is made from concentrates, with added vitamins etc, but may be cheaper than the fresh juice from M&S.
