May. 31st, 2006 05:09 pmHappy Lambs day! Sadly I have nothing to contribute as due to rl and the trickyfish taking over my brain, the story I started is languishing unfinished on my hd. You never know, I may finish it for the next lambs day.
Also, a very happy belated birthday to
strippedhalo. I hope you had a fantastic day!
I keep forgetting to pimp Camp Sparkle, but shall do so now. Camp Sparkle is a UK based mini con which begins Friday 16th March 2007. A cottage is being booked, complete with outdoor hottub, and ideas being thought up for appropriate sparkly entertainment. Check out
sparklyukfans if you want to keep up with details. It'll be a lot of fun. If you've never considered meeting up with other fans I'd say think it over. Everyone I've met at various gatherings have been lovely, quite mad too, but that's another story ;) You too could go home thinking of lamps, or frogs, or many other insane things. Plus, there's plans for boyband themed food, and let me tell you.
pensnest makes the best cake of death ever, delicious chocolaty and sugar goodness sure to send you toward that Chris Kirkpatrick bouncing off walls state.
We did two bootsales this week, one on Sunday, one on Monday. Sadly the Monday one was a washout, literally. It bucketed down and we only made our money back and enough to buy hot soup, because man, so cold. Of course part of that was because I was well on the way to being sick. Thankfully Corey's on half term holiday so I could stay on the couch until I was well enough to function again.
Apart from that, there's nothing to report. I've wrestled my mind away from the trickyfish to dragons, am going out with my boys later and really, things are just fine. It's sunny, I have washing drying on the line, diet cherry coke and time to play online. Also, GIP. I snagged this from
turloughishere. I have very few shared icons but this one called me. I saw it and was blown away, it's so beautiful and it's euro!Chris and I so love that era. Okay, I know you all know that but it needs repeating. So. Much. Love.

Date: 2006-05-31 06:12 pm (UTC)I'm gutted because York is so close, but I doubt I can swing the money to go. Especially with saving for Camp Sparkle. But if you did go, I'd be up for a day visit ;)

Well, that I think we might be able to do ^_^! Because we are going to York at the end of July for a yaoi meet-up and I have said to Matt that to make it worth our while we should take a week or so and go to the Yorkshire Moors (I've always wanted to go, what can I say? I love Emily Bronte) so it would make it the perfect holiday if we could meet up somewhere during that time too ^___________^!

Date: 2006-05-31 06:37 pm (UTC)You so have a deal about that meet up. July is going to be fabulous in terms of meeting LJ folk :D

Date: 2006-05-31 07:29 pm (UTC)Oh, it would! There are so many US and UK LJ folk going that I know but it's in San Francisco (why can I never spell that word ^^;?), so you can see the problem ^_~! Still if I can't go this year, I'm definitely saving up for the next one.
You so have a deal about that meet up.
Yay *twirls you*!

Date: 2006-06-01 09:28 pm (UTC)Anyway, right now I don't have the money anyway, so it's a done deal. Or not, in this case lol By then, who knows? But it'd be too late, I guess.
Also, if neither of you go/es(?) I don't think I could justify the expense. Though I know Selena is going and it would be so great finally meeting her too!

Date: 2006-05-31 06:14 pm (UTC)Lambs isn't a favourite of mine, but you have to celebrate two pretty boys.
It's Justin/Lance, but I'm sure you knew that ;)

Date: 2006-06-01 02:12 am (UTC)And like you I don't have a lot of shared icons, but I love this one so much. It's the look on his face.
I've been meaning to tell you, but I didn't want to do it on the fly, I needed to find time for the right words, you completely broke me with the Trickyfish. I don't know if I've ever read anything that's made me feel the pain of the hiatus as much as this, How they might miss each other until it hurts so much. I adore the Lance/Chris angst and the steps towards healing them both, but the way you wrote the way they are, apart, has stuck with me for *days.* Very powerful, very sad. I hate the way things are, but I love the way you wrote about it.
Completely broken.

Date: 2006-06-01 08:58 am (UTC)Exactly. He looks wonderful and the effects that turlough used add to that wonderfully.
Thanks for telling me what you thought about the story. I spent a lot of time thinking about Lance and Chris while I was writing this, and kept coming back to they would miss before. They both seem to be looking for something they haven't found yet, and I can't help feeling they'd leave the gameshows or solo music behind if they could.
I hate the way things are too. Which is why I hang on with my rose coloured glasses, that one day they will end this hiatus.
