turpsOMG! My broadband is back!
Finally we found an advisor who'd take ownership of the problem. He was wonderful, going through trouble shooting, then when that didn't help, stayed on the line as he phoned ever department he could think of to resolve the issue. He even phoned us back to ensure the service had been switched back on. I love that man, a lot.
He so makes up for all the other idiots I talked to. Yesterday I was on the phone for a total of 4 hours, was hung up on, talked to like I was an idiot and told I'd be reconnected on the 22nd of this month. I swear, at that point I wanted to both cry and throw things. What I did do was crank up the dial up, find BTs customer complain department and send them a blistering e mail where I told them what I thought of their ineffective clueless staff and their inability to solve a problem. Of course nothing will come of it, but it made me feel better. Then James came in from work and talked to technical support for two hours. The thought of our phone bill is making me cringe.
Then, the dial up went down. Seems there were technical problems. My own fault really, I should have known going for an ISP called Virgin was asking for trouble *g* Though all the hanging on the phone for the last week did allow me time to sort out my folders. I needed something that took no real thought, so I sorted all the BSB/crossover/Nsync stories out. Open file, scan names, shove in the folder. The files were organised by date, so you could see my sparkly path into the fandom. Starting with purely BSB, then I hit crossovers, then an explosion of Chris based stories.
But yes. It's back and I can stop sending sad text messages whining about having no access and needing to know what's going on in fandom. Sadly I can't indulge in a net wallow as I have sparkly guests coming and I need to tidy the tip. Which means doing a flist catch up may not happen, so please. If you've posted something you think I'd be interested in, would usually comment on, or just think I'd like. Link me :)
Which reminds me. Thanks so much for the mails to my G Mail account. I got Chris! And Logan/Remy! And Timberlamp! Dude, timberlamp! I squeed like crazy when I saw that subject line. Mira is a genius! Timberlamp, I swear, you don't know how much that makes me smile.
One last thing. Does anyone have a download link for Justin's song? I've heard it but haven't found a download yet.
