6 weeks of lie ins

turpsI wanted the sun to go, and damn has it. We've had some terrible storms this morning, huge claps of thunder and lightening with more forcast all day. I love storms, what I don't like is having to keep unplugging my computer, no way am I risking it being hit by a surge of electricity. Plus the satellite goes off when it's raining hard :( I wouldn't mind so much but it's so muggy and hot still.
But this morning I couldn't believe how dark it got. The street lights came back on, then Tex ( my dog ) was going nuts.
In great news though, Corey breaks up from school today! No more getting up at 6:30. I can sleep in for 6 weeks as James doesn't start work till 12 so I don't have to get up to help him either!
Of course I know that within a week I'll be going crazy with a houseful of bored kids, but just now, all I can see is sleep. Corey took a card and chocolates for his teacher, and we sent a card and wine to the head teacher as he's retiring too. It's weird as he was my teacher too, then my headmaster. I can't imagine the school without him, he still calls me by my name after all these years.
When Corey goes back he'll be in key stage 2. Weird, where's my baby boy gone?
Getting nostalgic here so moving on.
Watching music tv as usual, Electric 6 is on, the song Gay Bar. I love the video to that, how can you go wrong with loads of cloned US presidents writhing around in lycra cycling shorts, hamsters climbing along tubes and so many in your face gay refernces. It's so tacky that I love it.
