I wasn't able to access LJ for most of yesterday. I knew the site was up as I was getting comment replies through the day. Today browsing the flist I saw a handfull of others had the problem, especially if their ISP was BT Broadband. Which of course it was. Of all the ISPs in all the world it would be that one. Actually, BT did redeem themselves a little in terms of the no access problem of last week. We got a call saying they're going to refund a months worth of broadband payments, all money used on calls to their various support lines, and any call charges we used on the dial up. Which to be honest surprised me. No compensation for pain and suffering though ;)

No LJ meant I could finally insert the Chris/Nick scenes into the first [livejournal.com profile] wtf27 story. Now I'm working on prompt 3 before starting [livejournal.com profile] ninjetti75's birthday story. Which should be interesting. I sort of feel guilty writing prompt 3 because I know it's going to squick poor interlock, but it's what's in my head, and I can't think of anything else. I'm sure you can beta with your eyes closed somehow *g*

Corey broke up for the school holidays today. Which means six weeks of lie ins. Glee!

More glee. Downloading the new season of Project Runway. One episode in and already I want to hiss when I see one of the guys.

I was loading new fic on my handheld earlier this week. I hardly ever mention it, but I read LoTRips on occasions. Now, I'm not involved with the fandom at all, don't want to be, so what I do when I need story links is hit [livejournal.com profile] lotrips_finders. I love comms like that, if you're going in blind clicking a link can range from great stories to the crackiest of crack. I ended up with one story that said Orlando was sickly, and man, that was an understatement. Going by memory he had heart problems, took seizers ( their spelling not mine ) asthma that meant he could only walk a few feet, was diabetic and later it was revealed poor Orli used to have arthritis so bad that the best day of his life was when he found medication to take away the
pain. Then he went on a date. To buy gerbils! I swear, those comms throw up some gems.

I have to take Corey to Scouts soon, then we're going to see Stormchaser. Which means I'd better make a move. Nothing will be done with me sitting here.

God, seriously, you have no idea how much I enjoy the recaps of all those bad!fics you read - it's always a pure moment of joy when you do! There truly are some little gems out there, aren't there? :-)

I can't deny the appeal though lol

Man, some of the things are insane! I was all over this one I mentioned because of the h/c junkie thing. But it can only go so far before you're reading and laughing. I mean, the list of ailments was mounting up with each sentence. The guy should have been dead *g*

Poor tragic Orli. Were the gerbils the comfort part of this hurt/comfort masterpiece?

They were! Viggo bought them for poor ailing Orli because Orli so wanted dogs but the fur would trigger a horrific asthma attack....sniff.

So he had gerbils. To look at and watch and love for his very own.

Bad brain taking comfort with gerbils in an a bad direction!

Wow, that's really great. I mean, it would have been better if you hadn't the troubles in the first place, but still. It's good you're getting a refund.

I was so shocked. I was picturing months worth of calls to them about how bad the service had been. For them to call me. Just wow.
