turpsI don't know what I did, but my neck and shoulders are much of the ouch today. If I need to look at something I have to do a whole body movement. This adds nicely to the sinus/cheekbone/eyesocket ache I have going on. *is pathetic*
It's book picking up day today, over 200 of the things, which, yay. It's good exercise at least.
In an attempt to focus on happy things and indulge my greedy side,
Step One
- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use—or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free—do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf—to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not — it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

(2) Go and do something that makes you happy. Take time from what you should be doing and do what you want to be doing. Even if that's just five minutes where you eat a chocolate bar and kick back.
(3) Do something for charity. Clean out your clutter and donate to a charity shop, drop some change into a collection tin. Anything. To make this personal. My mam has lupus sle, my dad has Parkinson's, James has really bad arthritis. All of those charities need funds at all times.

(4) Fic. I don't care if it's a drabble or an epic, I just love knowing someone is thinking of me when they write. If you read my journal you know what I liketrickc4eva!11!!!. If anyone ever wrote me the sprawling AU where Backstreet and Nsync played a joint concert, and Brennan, Blair and Dean were in the audience I'd explode with glee!
(5) Icons. Again, usual suspects, but Chris icons always get bonus points :D I wouldn't be able to upload them yet, but soon.
(6) I want Haribo sour sweets to contain no calories or fat. Stupid things, why do they have to be so nice?!
(7) Sparkly swag. I love it still. I especially want the European Chris marionette and non European Lance and Joeyto complete my shrine
(8) Someone to wave a magic wand and wipe off all our debts. That would be awesome, and would mean no more stupid books to collect to make money.
(9) Mutant X to come back. Why did they take away my show? WHY!?
(10) A weekend with some of my most favourite people in the world,. delicious food, sparkly footage, many hugs and lots of squee. Oh, wait....

First because I can't get around 'asking' for stuff for me even though deep inside, I'd love to, and second because if I did, it would be ALL about me and I'm afraid there wouldn't be no 1 2 or 3 and it would be bad *has shame*

2) It's the weekend and so I spent most of the day with reading and watching TV and eating chocolate bars inbetween anyway. *g*
3) My class and I packed a shoe box full of toys, chocolate and toiletries for a charity project named Weihnachten im Schuhkarton (Christmas in a shoe box) that sends these shoe boxes to kids living in developing countries. Actually my whole school packed boxes for this project :-) .
