I changed my journal header back to an old one, and this one shows up. Go figure. No idea why it wouldn't show my embrace the kink one, I uploaded the banner to both scrap book and photobucket and had no joy for either. Oh well, at least I have a banner back.

I'm sitting waiting for the Betterware woman to come. I wish she'd hurry up. I have to explain why we've packed the job in, and I'm not looking forward to it at all. Then, when James finishes work we're off to MetroCenter to get some Christmas shopping. I can imagine the queues already.

Talking about not looking forward to stuff. We're going to a wedding reception on Saturday. It's at the Glass Centre, a really expensive place to hold a party. It'll be classy and full of rich people, everything that I'm not. Somehow I need to pull together an appropriate outfit. I tell you, I'd so rather be in the house eating a takeaway.

Of the good. I've started writing Christmas cards, and posted some too. Which is amazing as I tend to leave them too late and people get them in the new year. Also, sesa has an outline and a direction. Now all it needs are words. I'll get right on that I'm sure.

Corey came home with a letter from karate last night. It seems if you want to take gradings you need to take two lessons a week, which is all very well and good, except he's at Scouts on the Friday lesson and rugby on the Sunday one. All I can think is that he goes to karate on the Sundays when he's training and not actually playing away. Other than that there's nothing we can do.

I think that's all my moaning out of the way. So, all I can say is, Happy Thanksgiving to anyone that celebrates the day! Keep me a plate of turkey, I'll be there asap ;)

Honestly, don't worry about it. I know how things are for you, and the last thing I want is to add to that. A's helped me a load, and I pretty much know where I'm going now. Which may be a complicated and long route. Now I just need to keep telling myself it'll be worth it and not to take the short cut of something easy and done in a few scenes.

You need to do 'you' things, be happy, and not worry about anything extra.

I just wish she was here and the meeting was over with. She'd due at 4 and I'm all anxious now. I mean, we couldn't keep on with the job, I want some spare time at least, but somehow I doubt she'll see it that way.

I found the perfect cards when I was grocery shopping so there was little xmas-card-buying angst this year. Guess I'm saving the angst for presents ;)

About your header, mines done that in the past before too. It likes to take three and four day weekends without checking with me first. But it always comes back in one piece, happy as a clam. So maybe in a couple days you can try your Embrace the Kink one again?

The meeting went okay, especially as the scary woman sent her husband instead. He's not much of a talker thank goodness.

Man, I hope they're not huge. We're heading off in about 30 minutes, I'm really hoping most people will be heading home. Yeah, I know. But I can hope *g*

I think a wedding there will be fabulous, I'm just a little intimidated by the people who'll be there. I know I'm going to feel like a hick, but still, I bet the view over the river at night will be fabulous.

dude. we were just invited to one of my cousin's weddings in late january, and it's at the poshest hotel/restaurant in all of denmark, and the dresscode is 'Galla'. jesus, people.

I hope the wedding won't be too intimidating and that you'll be able to have fun! My youngest sister (the one who moved to London a month ago) is going to get married in June and I just found out that the dress code is going to be tails, which means evening dress for me and there is not a chance that I'll be able to use any of the dresses I made when I worked for the studen union! I've become several sizes larger since then :-) Buying a new dress is out of the question, they're either too expensive or just plain ugly. So that means sewing. I know I have a red velvet fabric and a red/black tafetta that might be possible to make something of. But I haven't sewn anything more ambitious than curtains for years! Meeep!!

It wasn't that bad actually. I would have preferred being at home, but if I had to go out, there were worse places I could be.

Yikes! Your dress problem is so much worse than mine. I had to dress up but not to that extent! I suppose one plus is you have plenty of time to sew something beautiful, which I'm sure you will. I don't think talent goes away.
