Dec. 13th, 2006 12:04 pmI'm having a SeSa free morning. I looked at the file, and told it. 'It's not you, it's just, we've spent countless hours together lately. I have other friends, and I've ignored them disgracefully. I have emails stacked up, and comments to reply to, and I still love you SeSa, it's just. I need a few hours where you're not even on my screen.' At which point I closed down Word.
So yes, I finally watched CSI, am going to watch House very soon, then actually communicate with people before they hate me completely.
Which would suck, especially as I want to thank everyone who said such lovely things in
rikes's love meme. Also, the people who said something at
dorrie6's love meme. My ego is all nice and shiny now ;) Though a comment at the second meme made me laugh so much, it mentioned my bizarre obsessions, which, dude! All my obsessions are quite normal!
I've received many wonderful Christmas cards in the last few days. Thank you so much, Rikes ( euro!Sync, my favourites! ), Bettina, Wistful_Jane, CJ ( the chocolate is yummy, I ate some yesterday afternoon), JM, Becca ( naked men! Perfect! ) and Turlough and Lancecat! You're all stars, thank you! *mwah* Then, this morning the postman about scared ten years off my life by banging on the front door. I swear, how his fist didn't come through it I don't know. But, he had a parcel for me, and it was full of intriguing lovely things which I won't open, because I'm funny like that. Christmas gifts always get opened on Christmas day. Thank you so much, Pen! It was such a wonderful surprise, and omg! So curious!
The Christmas rush is picking up speed nicely. Though somehow all Corey's parties have been planned for Friday. His school party is on the afternoon, then on the night he's got a karate party and also a sleep over with the scouts. Of course he can't go to both, so he's not at all impressed. The Scouts were supposed to have a real party, it was arranged to be held on Saturday afternoon at a club next to the Scout hut. Then some parents complained about the venue and the whole thing was cancelled. I don't get it. I'd understand if it was a nighttime party when the rest of the club would have been open, but it wasn't. The only people there would have been scouts and their families and friends. So now because of those parents the Scouts lose out.
Apart from that nothing exciting to share. Just card writing and gift wrapping and writing. Lots and lots of writing. Related to cards, Corey was doing his class cards yesterday, I asked if he was finished and he said no, he couldn't remember everyone in his class. Which fair enough, except he's been with the same people for the last five years. Seems bad memory runs in families.
ETA: Cards have just arrived from KC ( sparkly! ), Lawrence (so pretty ) and Sam ( lamp, hee! ). Thank you all!

Date: 2006-12-13 12:22 pm (UTC)Too bad about the Scout party; sometimes there's no understanding some people. What sucks is that the ones who lose out are the kids.
