It's a pretty video but I watched the whole thing waiting for Nick to fall to his knees and then he only went down on one! Not fair! Did I look away at the wrong moment? I love Nick hitting the floor, I do. And Nick emotes like JC sinceres. It's terrifying but wonderful.

My goodness, I'm not sure I've seen that many hand gestures in one place before. I especially love Kevin's "mouth to mouth" gesture. They're all so serious. And drowning! Except every once in a while Nick smiles, and it's very pretty. And they're wearing semi-normal clothes. Except for Howie's pants.

The song is my high on my Backstreet list, second only to Incomplete. The thing I love about Backstreet is that they're so easy to sing along to, especially when I'm alone in the car, I can sing as loudly as I want and their voices are right there with me the whole time, hopefully drowning me out.

It's a nice video, but it doesn't have that essential wtf-ness that makes TIPY such a classic.

This i s one of my favourite songs from the boys, I have to say. But as always with these videos, I just can't get them, hehehehe

milosflaca is going to kill me, but I hate Howie's outfit. I'm glad his hair is finally looking great, but, those purple/red pants with the blue t-shirt..hell no!

I insist, these guys don't have a clue as to what to do with their hands. When it's in the shadow part, Howie and Nick move their hands in a funny way. With AJ *drools* he grabs his jacket all the time _O_ Kevin keeps his hands in his pockets , or holds to a column...

Loved their looks (again, except for Howie's outfit) they all look perfect. When Kevin's hair is so scruffy he's so damn hot! but he looks so sad in the video, and Nick is like in pain sometimes.

Now, is that a church or some sort of temple they're in? 'coz they look like they're praying, and I can totally relate to praying for AJ or Kevin

Well, first off: hi! :D

Okay, Drowning has never been a favorite video of mine. I mean, it's really, really pretty. I love the colors in it, and guh, Kevin with that ponytail = nice. But it's the same with the MTT video, it's just sort of ... there. There's not much of a theme, they just stand around looking pretty. Which is guess is a nice theme in itself. :) And the tattered furniture! That always baffled me. That budget of theirs must've been way low after that first Drowning video they shot.

That being said, I do think it's really nice to look at. :) They all looked amaaaazing. (Kevin! GAH!) And I like the song itself. I don't love it, but I like it - it's really soothing.

Hee, I LOVE IT when Nick emotes. Really, it's not a proper Backstreet ballad unless he does. It doesn't feel right otherwise. Emote, Nick! Get down on your knees and EMOTE!

But, um, mostly I just watch this video for Kevin. *sheepish*

I have so much love for this song!!! While a lot of Nsync's songs are... more adventurously arranged and probably technically more interesting, I can't help but love BSB's so much more. They're just more... catching? And they all get solos!! Even Howie and Kevin!

I wasn't too fond of this video in the beginning but it has grown on me. They're all looking so good in it in their semi-normal clothes and the setting is both intimate with the beat-up furniture and spectacular with the silhoutte shots against the sky.

Howie! His hair and scruffy face and leather pants and NIPPLES!

AJ! With the sadness and the bleach-to-death hair and TAKING OFF HIS SUNGLASSES in the next-to-last scene.

Ah, this was the premiere of Jon Bon Howie with his hair of Hotness and his nipples of DOOM. Notice how he always angles his way to up front so that he won't look so short? Wow, that sweater is really tight. And how does he make a cyan sweater and red leather pants match?

Double fist clench and then the one fist slow raise! Followed by the double fisted arm raise of Angst! With extra silhouette for extra emoness! Oh Howie, I love you and your sweeping motions, because you are swept away by luuuurve.

I love how the camera lingers on Howie's hands and nipples.

Hi AJ baby! If my memory serves me correctly, Drowning is only one of three Backstreet videos where AJ has dyed hair. INBYH American Version, More Than That, and Drowning. Think about it. This last chorus before the bridge has TOO MUCH GOING ON. Everyone is doing their own version of the advanced double handed dance moves, be it fisting, or Brian's patented double palm of Whyness while looking up to the heavens and going "WHYYYYY???" And woah, was that a double handed devilhorn move from Kevin?

God, they're all so pretty here. Kevin just made tucking his hair behind his ear the sexiest move EVER.

Firstly, I watched this video during my computer class which means there was no sound. I have to recommend to anybody who has 4:30 seconds to kill that you do the same! It makes some of the sillouhette emotes extremely hilarious and parts of it look like they're a boy gang in a heated discussion. It was fun.

Now I'm back in my room and I'm watching it! Still fun, but much different! The first thing I always think about when I hear drowning is All or Nothing by O-Town because the opening notes are SO freaking similar..so there's that.

I'm digging the cheesy Brian hand movements at the beginning where he swings them down slowly. For some reason I find this completely ridiculous and want it removed from the video but I want to watch it a million times too! The hand motions for breathless are freaking ridiculous too..but so Brian..it's wonderful. Okay, so the more I watch the more I realize all Brian hand motions are ridiculous and are making me giggle. We'll end the Brian hand motions with that.

Then...HOWIE! Howie in this music video is everything I want him to be and more! His psuedo Mrs. Brady hair that was cross bred with a hedgehog is so freaking hot! And they put him in blue! It's the one color nobody has ever thought of putting him in before and yum! He is always wearing freaking red in everything...Howie and red don't mix. Like peanutbutter and tuna. Blue however..it's quite lovely. And at 0:52 it almost looks like Howie's is stroking Brian's back. I can appreciate that. Also, where I found all of Brian's hand motions silly..I can't help but fall in love with each and every one of Howie's. This is because I am completely biased mind you!

1:12 is a hilarious motion, I believe by Howie, that can only remind me of the hulk getting angry. I refuse to create theories around this but I really really want to.

Also! Howie's jewelry in this is amazing. His necklace has me focused on him all the time. It's so big and I love the way it rest against his chest next to his perky nipples. I think they got that way from stroking Brian's back in the above mentioned part. Brian has a nice back. I'd strok it. Also! Howie has a really pretty ring on this music video that looks like something AJ would wear. Howie and AJ were engaged at some point during the making of this video perhaps? That's why Howie got the new haircut, to make himself pretty for the upcoming wedding. And I think I just delve way too far into this!

Aeeee! And then Kevin and AJ singing together. Holy crap...There is nothing more beautiful in this entire world! It makes me get all teary eyed and it makes me want to go run or help children..or something! It's so powerful. Also, AJ's necklace in this keeps catching my attention. It's a short wooden one that reminds me of the silly one he wore in Quit Playing Games, a momento of simpler days and days of getting all wet and getting down!

Pretty back and forth images of AJ and Brian the AJ and Nick obviously show that there was a threesome happening during the shotting of this even though AJ and Howie were engaged.

Quick interrupt from babbling just to say, POINTING NICK! Shit...that's hot.

One must also wonder why Nick is the only one who is smiling during this music video. He keeps getting cute little grins and more pointing ensues..Once the pointing happens and "I cant imagine life with out your love," it cuts to a pretty picture of Kevin, which leads me to believe that NIck and Kevin were also having sex. There are a lot of Kevin to Nick cuts in this music video actually...Maybe that is why Nick is so smiley. He's getting laid by 3 attractive men. I'd smile. Also, sometimes I think Nick forgets what he is singing because his motions don't go with the words correctly.

I read someone commenting on this somewhere (I can't for the life of me remember who right now) that this video was made just after AJ got out of rehab. and everybody is trying to convey their earnestness but Nick can't help but break into this smile at totally random times because, I assume, AJ's back!
