Apr. 4th, 2007 05:28 pmJames has just phoned and we've got our cinema cards back! They've been suspended since the end of last year, but he's phoned and sorted something out and we've got them back. We go to the cinema a lot, but haven't been able to afford the cards, but now we can again and it's just yay! There's so many movies I want to see, so we're going tonight and starting to catch up. I'm not even sure what's on. I know Corey wants to see Mr Bean and the Turtles, so I guess we'll start with those.
I've been redoing my user info. I was going to put OMG CHRIS YAY! Considering it sums up a lot of this journal, but I figured I needed something a little longer. Though I think I may have gone too long. What do you think? Is there anything there I should have put? Or just stuck to the OMG CHRIS YAY! thing *g*
Remember my Nsync glee picspam from a few days ago? Well,
bubbleforest has done a BSB one and it's awesome! Go see, bask in the BSB glee.
Which brings me nicely into
sparklyglee. We're getting some wonderful prompts. Seriously, there's loads I'd love to claim myself, but more are always welcome. Especially pure BSB prompts, of which we have none right now. You don't have to write to prompt and it would make
vaudevilles and me very happy to see lots of prompts being suggested.
Of course I still need to suggest mine. You get five and that suggests all my favourite Chris pairings plus one cross-over. But which one? I'm drawn to Kevin/Chris myself, but people will back away in horror and it'll be left on the shelf all lonely and sad and I'll have to pet it and whisper that it's fine, that people just don't understand the wonderfulness of the pairing. They're so pretty together. Why is that beauty not seen!?
Somehow my spam filter has gone on my email. This means I'm being slammed with spam, all of it sexual. Norton used to quietly filter it all away, now I open OE and back away in horror as giants pictures of dicks are downloaded. They really need to work on their selling skills. A veiny, horrible looking dick won't sell me anything.
I have to go iron Corey's ghee/gee/gei/whitesuit thing now. I tell you, it's a thrill a minute around here.

Date: 2007-04-05 10:13 am (UTC)It looks like it's sorted now though which is good as I'm attached to OE. I even set up my web based email to download there.
It was so good to be back at the cinema last night!

Date: 2007-04-04 04:39 pm (UTC)We'll need to do something about it. A stealth-pairing day or something like that ;)
(And yes, spam-writers are the worst product sellers ever)

Date: 2007-04-05 10:16 am (UTC)A stealth pairing day would be fantastic! Though somehow I suspect we'd be in a minority of a few people *g*

Date: 2007-04-04 05:28 pm (UTC)And there so is a pure Backstreet prompt! I made one about Kevin and the Boys (http://community.livejournal.com/sparklyglee/533.html?thread=4117#t4117)! And I still have two prompts left, I'm hoarding them waiting to see what others will suggest :-)

I hear you on that. The stories I've always wanted to see are attached to me planning how to write them. Casting them into cyberspace for others would be strange.

Date: 2007-04-04 08:28 pm (UTC)I went to see Music & Lyrics a couple of weeks ago, so if it's still running there, I definitely recommend it. Good fun for boyband fans especially, I think. :)

Date: 2007-04-04 10:19 pm (UTC)I'll defiantly see Music and Lyrics if it's on. It was so good to be back at the cinema tonight, seeing all the staff we haven't seen for months.

Date: 2007-04-05 10:31 am (UTC)I've seen the cult of nice being talked about a few times, often in a bad way. But you know, I don't care because I'd never bitch or moan about people in public. It just goes against everything I believe. If people think I'm a pushover and mock worthy because of that, it's their problem.
No worries about the pimping, and yay for BSB prompts.
How's Remix going btw? I've decided I really need to get going on mine.
no subject
Date: 2007-04-05 02:29 pm (UTC)Woe, Remix! I'm totally panicking. I'm starting to think that the story I was planning on remixing might not be so suitable for remixing after all, so now I may have to pick a completely different one and ... gaaah. I am going to HEADDESK. Have you started on yours?
no subject
Date: 2007-04-07 09:00 pm (UTC)Exactly. Yet when you say that people seem to think it's mock worthy. I don't want to be bitchy and would wallow in guilt if I ever upset anyone. The cult of nice suits me fine.
Remix. Gah. I haven't started yet. I'll get it done, but it's so different to anything I've done before. I can't seem to get my head around changing someone else's story. Which I know is the point, but still.
I know you have people you talk to anyway, but if you ever need to bitch, vent, whatever about it. My email is always open.

Date: 2007-04-05 06:01 am (UTC)My best friend & I went and saw TMNT last Friday, and it was pretty good. A plot hole or two, and I couldn't really get past the part where April sounded exactly like Buffy, but ah well. It was still fun.

Date: 2007-04-05 10:33 am (UTC)We're seeing TMNT tomorrow, we saw Mr Bean last night, and I have to admit I'm quite looking forward to it. Especially to see the Buffy sounding April *g*

Date: 2007-04-06 03:52 am (UTC)Okay, there's monsters (this isn't a spoiler, they're introduced in the opening sequence) and at one point, a character says there's ___ many of them left. I could SWEAR they said "one", and then we see the one (Raphael fights it) and then later... ..it's accounted for, which throws off the ENTIRE plot point. Did they say two? Am I totally confused? Or was the editing just *that* bad? lol
