My monitor is working! Much thanks to [livejournal.com profile] chrismm who remains the best computer advice person ever. It's weird having it back. Colours are so much brighter and there's so much space on my desk. Silver is reunited with his screen. All is well in the world.

I love [livejournal.com profile] popstoryfinders so very much. The descriptions especially, where wonderful stories are explained in so few words.

I've been practicing for next time I need to ask for something.

I need to read the fic where Justin's a neurotic basketcase and I think there's cameras and blood and JC or was it Joey washes Justin's hands and Chris nearly dies. Or it could be Lance that nearly dies. It's one of them anyway.

Justin has a horn. I remember that. And they all had sex. I think, I was kinda too shy to read that part. Lance could fly too. I know, not many details

There was a desert and horses and bikes. JC liked to have sex and Chris Joey and Lance lived in a tent. Justin collapsed at the beginning and I remember him sitting on a rock.

So I read this fanfic a few years ago and in it nsync went to europe and Joey was listening to Chris have sex and there was dancing and joey was watching Lance flip Chris and I can't remember where it is now. Help!!!!

Not that I'm saying these are wonderful, just keeping my hand in ;)

The postman just delivered some letters here. One was addressed to my house but had the wrong name. Opening it, it's a letter from the citizens advice bureau, some guy has written to them with details of how he's going bankrupt. Included is his mortgage letters complete with account number, bank details, really anything a person would need for identity fraud. Looking through the letters, I saw it's for one of my neighbours at #23, as opposed to my house of #28. But just, wow. You'd think they'd check these things.

I went to the cinema with the best friend yesterday. We saw The Wild Hogs which was actually very funny. Though funnier still was her attempts to tell me about a date she'd had without her son overhearing the juicy details. She's a single mam with a thirteen year old, and she's pretty much decided she's going to remain single, which is a shame as she's got so much going for her. She was also telling me she's help write my obituary and just dude. The mind boggles what she'd put.

YAY for getting the monitor working! *tosses confetti* I'm getting ready to get a new one (as part of Operation New Computer) and am thinking about splurging for one with some USB ports on it. Maybe.

And your practice is paying off! Someone should be able to find those stories for you NO problem. :D

I was so thrilled when it finally worked! Chris is wonderful and has bailed me out computer wise so many times. Of course, once I got it working I messed around with settings and had to change monitors again when the screen went blue, because I'm just that stupid. But yay! It's done!

I hope you get your new monitor too. It's strange how much difference it makes. Things are so much brighter and clear. Also, it matches my tower again, which makes me happy.

Hee! I'm a popstoryfinders pro now!

*mwah*

Good morning, honey! How's things on your side of the ocean?

I have an OLD, huge, clunky 17" Dell monitor. It's enormous. *crosses fingers for a new one* Getting a new computer over the summer, new monitor needs to happen too! :D

*mwah*

We're good here. Have coffee, for the moment it's a nice day (snow storm later) and we're only a couple of days from being able to paint my new kitchen - then it's on to plumbing, appliances and cabinets. YAY!

*snortlaughs* You mean you can PRACTICE for that? Dude. It's like, one paragraph versions of badfic. Even if the story *isn't*.

I like your practice/trial-runs, though ;)

Exactly! They're awesome! I love matching the descriptions to the stories, especially when fantastic stories are described in a way to make me think, wtf?!

How are you, sweetheart? Pain free I hope.

Thank you! *g*

Lets see.

I read this fic, and Lance was in the toilet having sex or something like that. It could have been Joey and he might have been in a cafe, with a goat. Then Chris had an eating disorder and was like seriously cracked in the head and they had bacon or was it waffles and they had sex. I think. I might be mixing up two stories.

That better? ;)

Oh, you have it down now! That "mixing up two stories" is always the way to go. Though, umm, do Chris and the goat have sex? ;)

I love story finders comms; it's hilarious matching the screwed up requests to the often wonderful stories.

I guess it is just a typo, and 3 and 8 can be easy to confuse in some people's handwriting, but - yeah - a little scary that the CAB could make that mistake!

Wild Hogs looks like it'd be fun - I *heart* William H Macy, so that's always a plus.

Yeah, I figured it was a typo but wow. There's some serious stuff in there. I feel bad for looking but I had no idea who the guy was until I saw the actual address on the other letters inside. I'll have to take them to him later, explain why the letter is open.

Wild Hogs was excellent. I didn't expect it to be as good as it was. Though I did have the unsettling realisation that John Travolta was looking hot.

Omg, you're killing me. I'm eating breakfast, and I almost choked on my cereal, I was laughing so hard. Those are beyond perfect. Popstoryfinders is a source of never-ending joy, isn't it?

I seriously have been thinking of a way to describe a story I read ages ago and would like to find, but that's just what it would sound like. It was by one of the old school writers like Julad or Calico, I think it was Chris and JC, but it could have been Lance, and there was serious miscommunication angst. They were in love but each one thought the other one was just using them. It didn't end well. There was a scene on a rooftop, I think. I COULD BE CONFUSING TWO DIFFERENT STORIES. Seriously.

But I just can't bring myself to ask. :)

I love popstoryfinders so much.

Some of the things asked for are just cracked out, and in many cases it's because you can't describe the story well. I mean, if you knew details you'd be hitting google. So you're left with vague plot points and scenes.

When I ask on there I can just imagine people wondering what the heck I'm on *g*

I have no idea, but it happens all the time. Even the best stories sound like Nifty rejects.
