Apr. 19th, 2007 09:35 pmWe've just came home after the Scouts St George's Day service. It was good, though who decided that they should do a round hymn when there was a roomful of mostly non church going beavers, scouts, cubs and their parents must have been insane. And really, turning up the sound of the instruments didn't hide the lack of singing.
It also wasn't my fault that I laughed during one song. I'd been thinking about remix and they started to sing about servicing. What was I supposed to do? Also, they asked who people's heroes were, I said Chris. There was no need for James to look at me like that *g*
Remix is coming along nicely now, especially as I'm feeding words to my betas who will cyber slap me if I stop ;) My goal is 1000 words a day, which I've done today. Sadly I'm still behind as Kay took over my computer for almost a full day on Tuesday and I've been installing a new virus programme that required a full system scan, which took hours, and it did it while booting up which meant I couldn't use the computer at the same time. I've installed avast and it's working nicely for me. I know a lot of people recommend AVG but it was doing funky things to my email, and I couldn't deal with the popup that well, popped up with each mail download, especially as it wouldn't go away.
I'm not going to claim at
sparklyglee until remix is done, but man, other people are and that's so thrilling. People are taking prompts and there's the prospect of such lovely stories. While I'm thinking about fannish stuff, I've been talking to
cardalia and the popfandom appreciation challenge will happen in the next few weeks. I tell you, if you're planning something everyone should have a Cardalia, she's wonderful at details.
Man, I'm tired tonight. I could do with going to bed at the same time as C. But what I will do is attack my in box, because I suck. So very much.

And yay for remix progress. Mine is coming along, although not as fast as I'd like it to. The more I get into it, though, the less I'm struggling.

I'm enjoying writing my remix. Once I got past that mental block about playing in someone else's universe anyway.
I'm so looking forward to reading them all.
