Jun. 11th, 2007 03:28 pmThank you so much for the card,
turloughishere. Knowing you're thinking of us means a lot. Also, I suck because I haven't thanked
trumpetrofdoom for the card she sent last week. Thank you so much, JM. *sends love to you both*
We had a nice day out with my nanna on Saturday. We ended up at the lake district, and she treated us to lunch in a pub that was situated at the lake edge. We ate watching the boats skimming over the water and the beautiful view of the hills, so dark against the blue sky. Then she decided we were going to take a boat tour, and dude! Did she not see Titanic and Poseidon? I did and believe me, I was nervous. Thought to be honest, most of my nerves are about getting on and off the boats. Once I'm on I'm fine, plus, it was an open topped boat which meant if we sank I could swim to shore. It was while waiting to go on the boat we leaned the SiL had been taken to hospital with suspected meningitis. Thankfully she's out now, but it was a worrying couple of days.
However, today is a new week and I've decided it has to be a good one. Not just for me, for everyone out there, because man, it seems a wave of sad swept the flist last week. To kick start that I'm actually going to pick my prompt for
sparklyglee. I know, talk about waiting, but I wanted to get remix and dragons done first.
Talking about
sparklyglee. If anyone hasn't picked a prompt, please consider it. Just think, happyfic. Happyfic is good! All you need to write is 1000 words, you can do that! I'll help if need be. Not the actual writing of course, but I can cheerlead like a pro. There's Nsync, BSB and crossover prompts just waiting to be claimed. Happy shiny prompts that will sparkle and shine under the right hands. So go, see, think about claiming.
I'm also going to kick off the
pop_appreciate week from next Monday. I think it's time to let people know just how awesome our fandom is. Because we are.
For some reason Living has skipped two episodes of Criminal Minds, totally bypassing the ones where Reid is kidnapped and tortured. It makes no sense at all as he's flashing back, and if you're watching without knowing what happened you'd have no idea what he was flashing back about. It's all very annoying.
But you know what wasn't annoying? The result of Any Dream Will Do. All I can say is, yay!
Okay, I need to go do what I'm supposed to be doing instead of updating LJ. Which includes comments on my last post. I am replying but it's taking a while. Some people shared such touching stories that it makes my heart ache to read them.

Date: 2007-06-11 02:47 pm (UTC)I've travelled by train through the Lake District several times and it looks so lovely. Some day I will visit it!
For some reason Living has skipped two episodes
I saw this and went all, "Huh? What's she talking about, Living was finished years ago!" and then I read the rest of the sentence :-)

Date: 2007-06-11 03:01 pm (UTC)The Lake District really is a beautiful place to visit. Despite it being crowded where we were, the surroundings retained their stark beauty.
Dude! I don't know if I could cope if Living came back! *g*
