turpsI want to draw your attention to a sparkly community that I think is kind of cool.

boyleidoscope is one of a kind as far as I know. Each week a theme is chosen and you then have to write something relating to that theme. For example, one of the themes has been magic, so I'd submit a story relating to magic. It can be anything from a drabble to a full story and it's not about how good you are as a writer, it's how you interpret the theme.
If you submission wins, you get a piece of artwork based on your story, and believe me,dark_sanction does good work. Check out this for example.
The way I see it is if you join you get to see both fic and art. Surely a win win situation.
