The men came first thing this morning to put in the new boiler. They've got all the doors open, have been rummaging through cupboards to turn off the water. Which is another thing, I so want a cup of tea, and it's only because I have no water to make one. The cats are locked in bedrooms, the dog is at my mam's, and I have many hours of banging and crashing to come.

I hate being along with workmen in the house. That's James' job, he's the one who likes nattering to them. Sadly, he's at work.

Oh well. Shiny new boiler and working heat at the end of this. That's totally of the win.

Pretend they're Chris and JC. If you're lucky, they'll get hot and take off their shirts ;-)

They're not bad looking actually, but in a very young and cute way. Still, taking off their shirts would be good.

Not to toot my own horn or anything (not that I have one and even if I did, I 'm sure I'm not bendy enough to toot it myself ... um moving on), my icon is gorgeous! ahahaha!

Your icon is gorgeous. That's why you're my icon dealer :D

Also, horns are made to be tooted, so stretch!

Also also. I was reading that blondie from Joseph, not Lewis, the one that went before him, has been given a job as Joseph in the touring production. So much for only one Joseph.

Craig? The pub singer? You've got to be kidding me! He sucked!

I heard that the thing with Lee would only be temporarily. After the show was finished of course. Kinda deceiving, wasn't it? But if Craig can get a job like this, then surely HUGE things must be coming for Daniel!

That's him.

I was surprised too, out of the last few he would have been the last that I picked. But he has been.

It is deceiving, but I suppose it's all about publicity, which Lee's got now.

I'm sure Daniel will make it. He's made for fame.

Whenever there's the slightest chance of the water being off, Mum and I fill both kettles to the brim, for fear of being without water for - GASP - an hour or two :D

And I hate being alone with workmen too. I never know whether I'm meant to talk to them or leave them alone. I don't want to offer a cuppa, because then I'd really have to be social.

Sadly I didn't think to get water first. Which is silly as obviously they need to turn off the water to fit a boiler.

I never know whether I'm meant to talk to them or leave them alone

Exactly! James just goes and chatters away, but I can't do that. So I keep out of the way and hope they come to me if they need something. One just came asking for a drink but of course we had no water and there's no pop in the house. He ended up with milk and of course I'm wondering if I should have been ready for this situation and had drinks in the house.

I so over think things at times.

We'd be just as hopeless when it came to giving a drink, because apart from the tea and coffee, we usually only drink water. Well, and Dad always has a cask of cheap wine on the go, but I'm not quite sure it's appropriate to offer that sort of thing ;)

Larry can talk to workmen for hours on end, and I have no idea what about. I just want them to do what they came for and go away, but he loves to chat with them.

It's gotta be a guy thing. My hubby will chit chat with any workman that comes around. Me, on the other hand, no way! In my mind they're here to do a job and I just want it done and them gone. I don't much care for intruders into my everyday lifestyle. lol

That's it exactly. I'm sure they're great people, but I have no desire to sit chatting to them. I want them to just fit the thing and go. But I know if James were here he'd be up there now, chatting away.

ME TOO. i think it's a combination of not being comfortable physically and not knowing what they're doing, you know? and also, the mister always asks me a bunch of questions after, and i never know the answers, and grrr, i don't like that part one bit, either!

I totally know. It's weird sitting downstairs and knowing they're thumping around in your bedrooms, places that are usually hidden away. I get you about the mister too. James has phoned wanting to know what went on, and really all I can say is we have a new boiler. After that I have nothing.

*hugs you* I'm never comfortable with them either. Grouchy is grouchy, as we know, and he doesn't chitchat with family - let alone with a stranger. He'll just sit in his chair with the tv on or reading the paper (you know, like he does any other time he's awake and not eating) -- now Mom, my mom can chitchat with just about anyone - and will. lol

I always find it amusing to see the reactions of workmen to all my fannish stuff. I used to have naked guys and m/m pictures up on my walls in my old room, that was always funny. Heh.

That is fun *g*

Today the first lot of workmen said about my two kids. Obviously he thought my spare room with the Nsync swag was a second child's room. The second workman commented that I must like trek. Which is pretty obvious really.

I want naked men pictures now!
