Aug. 10th, 2003 09:18 pmAt the beach yesterday and again today. I'm so behind on net stuff it's not funny. I had to lol today as we had a *huge* electrical storm this morning. But we'd already arranged to meet the in-laws to go to a lifeboat event at Roker. They'd made food and everything so we still headed to the beach despite the rain belting down, thunder cracking and lightening flashing. It wasn't that busy at the event, as it was still raining but we got the umbrellas out and went in anyway. It was okay, Corey and James went on a trip up the river on a boat. Not me though. Since I got stuck in a rowing boat I don't do any kinds of boats. I was in a rowing boat years ago and when I tried to get out it kept tipping, I was terrified. In the end this big buff guy had to pull me and the boat up the slipway. I'm not frightened of boats, just they have to be big and have a real walkway to get on them, no climbing etc. So they did that and I had coffee with my in laws. Joyce made me lol again as we walked past the police display and there was this *gorgeous* policeman. Of course she pointed him out *very* loudly. I just hid under my umbrella.
Later we dropped them off and went further along the coast and Corey went in the sea. And James did too! He was feeling brave and took his false leg off and went in the water. I think it was because we were sitting maybe 10 meters from the waterline and the beach wasn't that crowded, so no was staring. Oh, did I mention that it was raining and people were still on the beach? It was so cool to see. I watched as they messed in the water until jellyfish were seen and they came out.
The only bad thing today is I've hurt my foot somehow. It's been aching for a while, and walking on the sand has done something. It's the part at the side, and I'm getting this shooting pain when I put weight on it. I've a feeling I've irritated a nerve or something. When I sit at the computer I curl my foot on it's side as I sit on a chair that's too low. That's the bit that's hurting so much now, the part that lies on the floor. I'm having to hobble everywhere which isn't fun :(
Now yet again I'm going to *try* and catch up.

You'd think you'd be safe at your desk wouldn't you? Danger can strike at any time ;)

Date: 2003-08-10 01:52 pm (UTC)For the foot, hope it's not the tip of the pencil indeed, cos that would mean it got infected or something. Although, the curling your foot when you're sitting at your computer may be the best reason for the pain, of course! lol
Sitting in front of a computer *is* like sport, see? We have our sprained muscles as well! lol

Date: 2003-08-11 03:44 am (UTC)Guess I'm going to have to invest in a higher chair, the amount of time I spent sitting here I need the best *g*
I'm glad that it's seen as a sport now, more excuses to stay in front of Blue2 'I don't need to go out, I'm getting exersise here' lol

Thanks for the info on Justin, I don't know any American Idol people so it's not surprising that I didn't recognise the name.
But he seems pretty cute in that link that you sent, I guess I can still marry him, the hair alone would keep me entertained *g*
Thanks for googling!
