The fact I only have one story, two ficlets and half a finished something means it's insane to even think about signing up for bandombigbang. Right? Tell me it's insane.

Though the decision will probably be taken out of my hands as when sign ups are due I'll be in jail for murdering James, and I won't have even been hauled into jail by a hot policeman, it would have been some sweaty, red faced thing with a hairy nose.

Torchwood soon. Focus on Torchwood.

I am. One of my writing goals for this year was to start writing longer. I tend to write about the 10,000 word mark, and wanted to up that. This seems like a good opportunity, but I always thought I'd do so in popslash, not bandom.

Saying that, scared stiff here. Still, you should think about it. I mean, your Pete/Mikey story must be long now.

Yeah, the Mikey/Pete is up around 12-14k words now. But I've had enough of deadlines for awhile. Plus, my longer stories all seem to get written without deadlines.

But if it is a goal of yours, you should totally go for it!

Yep, that was pretty much my reaction to Torchwood as well. :D

I was tempted by bandombigbang but I think I've just been talked out of it. But I don't think it's insane of you to want to sign up - if the ideas for bandom fics are flowing then why not go for it. Don't judge the madness of it on what you've written so far, base it on what you think you could write if given the chance.

I'm really tempted by the bandombigband, but suspect it may be too soon. I do have ideas, but making them stretch to 20,000 is the problem. I may just stick to shorter things for now. Them maybe next year I'll be ready.

No, seriously, like withdiamonds told me, what are they going to do? Kick you out of fandom if you don't finish?

Plus, if you do go to jail for murdering James, think of all the lovely free time you'll have in your nice, quiet cell.

Oh man, it took me six years to write 15,000 words, and that's my longest story ever. I'm thinking this challenge is not for me. But I'm all for everybody else signing up! *enables evilly at close to midnight*

I've managed two 20,000 plus stories, but after thinking it through this isn't the challenge for me. Not yet anyway, I'm still feeling my way in the fandom, and jumping in the deep end probably isn't the way to go.

I'll just happily keep on with my Gerard & Mikey story which looks like it'll top out at a whole 2,000 words *g*
