Jan. 19th, 2008 11:20 amDoes anyone know why Word sometimes writes over text when you type? It only happens sometimes, when I've pressed the wrong buttons by mistake probably, but what happens is instead of adding words or space in the middle of existing text, it'll just overwrite what's already there. Which is annoying. While I can fix it by shutting down Word, I wanted to know if it can be fixed without doing that?
Also, while I'm asking things, would anyone be willing to beta a story for me? It's bandom which is why I'm not hitting up my usual beta readers. It's short, about 3,000 words, Gerard and Mikey centric and needs to be back to me by tomorrow.
I'm easy to beta for, promise. You just need to bash back my angsty tendencies, sort out my grammar and dodgy word choices, indulge my wibbles, laugh at me when I make mistakes and prop up any canon shakiness. I know, I'm such an appealing prospect *g*
Or if you're not up to that, a look over to reassure against sucktitude will be fine too.
Now I get to go boring rl stuff. Why are there no robots to do this stuff yet? Why!?
ETA: Sorted for both, thank you!

Click on the Overtype Mode check box. If it is clear, then overtype mode is turned off and insert mode is active.
