I'd tell you how many episodes of Without a Trace I'd watched today, but it would be embarrassing. Like, double figures embarrassing. Still, that rush of mainlining a show is an awesome thing, and right now I'm utterly in love and lust with Danny and Martin.

This was a perfect continuation from a WaT story that I read last night. It was amazing, and long, and perfectly characterised with action/adventure that had me clenching my fists with anxiety at many points, but mostly, very long. Like the kind of story you start reading and look up four hours later long.

However, along with rl stuff, fish deaths and WaT watching, I managed to squeeze some picture viewing into today. The new pictures of Panic? I give up, I cave. They're adorable. It was the clash of patterns, and the pjs and Ryan's skinny legs and man, the boy is packing it, whoa. Not that I was looking or anything...ahem.

Which brings me nicely to a story I just read. Which was MCR GSF with double penetration and fisting. Waycest fisting and just. It was so damn hot and the Waycest fisting should have been so wrong, except it was so right and just thinking of it is making me want to go back and read again. Right now. If you're interested, it's here, and believe me, the story is well worth it.

Also, I'm reading that JC is being amazing in his dancing show, which makes me very happy indeed. You show them, JC!

WaT, Fisting, Waycest, JC, Panic, double penetration. Surely a post of win? \o/

I don't think I'll be writing Panic anytime soon. Then again, that's what I said about bandom as a whole, and look at me now *g*

I HAVE NOT READ ONE PANIC STORY! I know, this is a disgrace, so if you wish to point me in the right direction I'll be a very happy bunny!

I encourage happy bunnies! Let me give you just a few recs, to cut your teeth on, and then if you're down, I'll give you more!

Firstly, if you haven't read it yet, here's Sara's Panic primer (http://addictedkitten.livejournal.com/104779.html?mode=reply), which is important information to have, with some recs at the end. A *touch* out of date at this point, but still a crucial read!

Ryan/Brendon (my favorite Panic pairing - I feel like it's the equivalent to JC/Justin! Just as Pete/Ryan is the equivalent to Chris/Justin - hmm, maybe I'll throw some of those in here!)
+ That First Inconceivable Touch (http://addictedkitten.livejournal.com/103713.html?mode=reply) by [livejournal.com profile] addictedkitten
+ Give me more (http://wearemany.livejournal.com/646317.html) by [livejournal.com profile] wearemany
+ How Two Boys Got Some (In Different POVs): A Portrait of Spencer Smith, Annoyed (http://community.livejournal.com/damnyouwentz/194670.html) by one900
+ Nothing To Do With You (http://disarm-d.livejournal.com/16483.html) by [livejournal.com profile] disarm_d
+ Ash In Your Mouth (http://flimsy.livejournal.com/206829.html) by [livejournal.com profile] flimsy
+ laid bare for all to see, but mostly just for you (http://deliberatefic.livejournal.com/1398.html#cutid1) by [livejournal.com profile] deliberatehips

Ryan/Spencer (best friends from childhood! what a dynamic!)
+ So We'll Stop Pretending (http://iphignia939.livejournal.com/262017.html) by [livejournal.com profile] iphignia939
+ Pick Me Up (http://tasteofpoison.inkubation.net/viewstory.php?sid=181) by [livejournal.com profile] arsenicjade
+ and set this cruise control to crash (http://addictedkitten.livejournal.com/101365.html) by [livejournal.com profile] addictedkitten

Jon/Spencer (for me, the Choey, but yo, I liked some Choey! Often written fluffily, can be really satisfying)
+ The One Where Spencer Called Jon 'Thick' (But Not Like That) (http://aphoristick.livejournal.com/1265.html) by [livejournal.com profile] aphoristick/[livejournal.com profile] shanelle
+ It's About Time You Showed Up (http://beingothrwrldly.livejournal.com/508858.html) by [livejournal.com profile] beingothrwrldly (for reference, Tom Conrad was a guitarist for The Academy Is, whom Panic opened for on the Truckstops and Statelines tour in the spring of 2006. Tom was later kicked out of the band for philosophical differences. He's one of Jon Walker's best friends, from Chicago. Jon used to tech for The Academy Is, and was their video guy, before joining Panic.)

Spencer/Brendon (currently enjoying a swell of popularity! But these are all older stories!)
+ Misconduct (http://gigantic.livejournal.com/391692.html) by [livejournal.com profile] gigantic
+ There Should Be A Name For Something Like This (http://skoosiepants.livejournal.com/182857.html) by [livejournal.com profile] skoosiepants
+ You Can Get What You Need (http://kissingchaos9.livejournal.com/160126.html#cutid1) by [livejournal.com profile] kissingchaos9

hmm, I don't seem to have any Jon/Brendon recs at hand! Woe, woe.

And because I'm biased towards her both personally and creatively, here's three more of Sara's, a Panic GSF and two Pete/Ryans that destroy me (it's my bandom otppppp!)
+ Crush (With Eyeliner) (http://addictedkitten.livejournal.com/102988.html?mode=reply)
+ Except Under The Pale Light (http://addictedkitten.livejournal.com/106071.html?mode=reply)
+ Swing as high as any savior (http://addictedkitten.livejournal.com/118747.html#cutid1)

Um. Enjoy! :D eta: ahahah I knew I couldn't get through all that html without a fuckup

Nooooo! Say it ain't so!! Or at least promise you won't start writing Panic-only stories! Please! *tries the kitty eyes of doom*

I read that story but I wasn't that enamoured. It felt a bit too... clinical, if that's the right word, for my taste. I think I want more character interaction even in PWPs. Have you read [livejournal.com profile] cimorene111's Fantasy Book (http://cimness.livejournal.com/2387128.html)? 16,000 words of sex pollen PWP! Fabulous!!

I haven't read that, but I'm going to now. It sounds fantastic. What I loved about Kiss Kiss Bang Bang was the image of Mikey fisting Gerard. His long fingers, and just guh!

You're right, the Panic love is an acquired taste. I've pretty much seen them as 'the other band' but somehow with a sneak pj attack I'm wanting to actually read about them. I know where I'll be starting too ;)

I do have a link to the story. It's here (http://www.bunnyfic.com/ELG/ColdCase.htm). While it's technically gen, there's lots of slashy banter going on. I just loved it, a lot.

All your talk of WaT makes me kinda miss all the flailing about that show I used to do. I may have to go rummage through my memories and dig out some old fic to reread.

But mainly I just want to say - The new pictures of Panic? I give up, I cave. They're adorable.

\o/ They ARE adorable. It's true! I'm so glad you've seen the light! *g*
Here, have some fic recs. :D I'd also suggest reading everything [livejournal.com profile] foxxcub has written, and, if I had to choose just one fic from the ones I've bookmarked, it would be this one: Burn Up In Love Love Love by [livejournal.com profile] dsudis GSF, because you can't go wrong with a good GSF.

I've had a bit of a rummage and, sadly, it looks like some of the fic I remember loving is now either f-locked or the writer's LJs are deleted. BUT, I can recommend anything by [livejournal.com profile] mardia her WaT fic tag or [livejournal.com profile] lillyjk her WaT fic tag I especially recommend the 'Perceptions' series (although I may be a bit biased about her writing. see icon!)

Also? More panic - Jon's Bookstore by [livejournal.com profile] foxxcub. Possibly my favourite AU in bandom, which is saying something given the amount and quality of AUs in existence. Plus there's the bonus of it having Gerard/Frank and Pete/Patrick in it as well as the Panic boys. :D
