Feb. 1st, 2008 10:38 amIt's February today, and you know what that means? It means it's Chris month! But also, it's Camp Sparkle month! 28 sleeps!
It also means I need to post my first Chris ficlet at some time today, and as it's not actually finished at the moment, I need to get that done.
I'd say I hope February goes better than January, but it hasn't started well. James has an infection in his knee, which has swollen badly, right where the strap of his artificial leg goes. Which as you can imagine, isn't comfortable at all. He was at the doctor's yesterday and if it's not better by today he needs to go to the hospital. Which yeah, I suspect I know where I'll be later.
I really need to get Corey's passport sorted later too. He's got the opportunity to go to the Alps with the Scouts, which is such an amazing opportunity, especially as we've been told we can get grants to cover the majority of the cost. The rest he has to raise himself, doing things like bag packing at our local supermarket. But of course to go he needs a passport, which mam is paying for, thankfully.
So, a busy day and hopefully an evening of watching SPN, Project Runway, reading the flist, reading fic and maybe even answering some emails, because man, I so suck. I'm just glad it's Friday really, every week I aim for Friday because it means I can sleep in the next day.

Date: 2008-02-01 07:16 pm (UTC)It is scary! It will be the first time he's been away from home for more than a week, and out of the country on top of that. I know I'll miss him dreadfully, but it's such a great opportunity I really want him to go too.

Date: 2008-02-02 02:25 pm (UTC)The Alps is such a great opportunity for him, especially with getting a grant toward most of the cost. Of course no doubt I'll be fretting when he's gone.
I love Fridays the best!

It's a voluntary thing at the Co Op. They let the scouts come in and pack bags, and people throw money in a bucket. The scouts get to keep that.
