We did end up going to the hospital, spending 6 hours there. At one point they wanted to keep James in because they're worried that the infection will travel to his knee joint, which would be really bad stump wise. But in the end he got sent home with mega doses of antibiotics and a strict warning to sit with his leg up and not put on his leg for a while. So it's back to using a wheelchair again for now, though thankfully he can drive with only one leg so we weren't stuck at the hospital.

It's been a long day, and it's still not finished. Still, I have vege mince and onions to look forward to later. When I cook it anyway.
