For those that are interested, I feel so much better today. Mainly because I took my sleep deprived self to bed at 10 last night, and got a solid 9 hours. Which considering I fell asleep in a layby waiting for the MiL, and then on the couch while Corey and Katie played with the magic kit not feet away, well yes. It was needed. Though I have to point out that I was in the car when I fell asleep in the layby, I didn't crash out on the grass, that would be a whole new level of exhaustion *g*

Good things that happened yesterday? James and I went to the beach and had an impromptu picnic for lunch. Salad and crusty bread while watching the ocean, so very nice. Then in the afternoon the district nurses came to the house and measured James up for a wheelchair of his own. One that will actually fit through the doors and not weigh a ton to push. Which will make such a difference. No more folding and lifting the tank, though it is good exercise.

Corey's joining an after-school keyboard class today, so we'll pick him up after that and then go see nanna as it's her birthday today. She's 88 and while she keeps saying that she doesn't want any birthdays, the ear bashing I'd get if I took notice of her would be prolonged.

For some reason Thunderbird's spell check doesn't seem to work. This is bad because I'm not the best speller out there. I'll have to investigate this.

I'm feeling so much better today. Thank goodness. It just shows what some relaxing time and lots of sleep can do.

The new wheelchair comes on Monday. I can't wait.

Then I logged on and saw the writers strike was officially over. It was the icing on the cake!

Yay, I'm glad you're feeling better. Sleep cures a multitude of ills, I find.

A picnic on the beach sounds nice. I'm also glad you guys were able to find some time to yourselves.

Have fun at your nanna's birthday!

Sleep is awesome! The problem is I usually got to bed at midnight, and get up at 7, which keeps me going as long as I get my sleep in at the weekend. Which of course didn't happen.

It was a lovely picnic. It was warm for Feb and everything was calm and just nice.

I will. No doubt she'll be forcing more cake on me. It doesn't seem possible but I'm sick of the sight of cake at the moment.

Man, so I am. The last few days seem to be a haze of cough medicine and sleep deprivation.

I'm so glad to hear that you're feeling more rested! (And the cold is better too, yes?) Your picnic sounds lovely, and yay! for a lighter wheelchair. We got your warm and sunny weather today, it's been lovely!

My cold's much better. Which is good, I was at a bottle of cough medicine a day habit.

The picnic was wonderful, so calm and still. Just the ocean, good company and quiet. Just what I needed.

It was lovely! Just eating yummy food and watching the ocean. Sleep is good too, I seem to be chasing it all the time lately.

lack of sleep makes everything harder. I'm glad you finally got to rest, and that there's light at the end of the tunnel on at least one of the issues.

**hugs you some more**

Yeah, like I was just telling Den, I really need more sleep than I get, and the obvious way to do that is to go to bed earlier. Yet I never do. My body seems to think 11-7 is the perfect amount, I say that's too early to go to bed.

*hugs* Thank you.

Yay for feeling better! I hope you had a good time with your nanna.

And spell check is essential. For some reason my firefox only checks some text boxes but not all, and I usually notice that way too late. :)

We had a lovely time, and as expected cake was offered *g*

Man, I so need a spell check too. I wish I knew why mine has stopped working.
