I changed my journal header and colour today, and it's so blue. I keep looking at it and feeling cold.

The stair lift dude was here earlier and the thing is bust. The track hasn't come down at the bottom automatically for ages now. When he checked it out he said it was beyond repair, so we're getting a new stair lift installed. Hopefully they won't notice the cats like using the back of the seat as a scratching post.

Tell me flist. If you could have a story custom written for you, what would it contain? Not that I'm offering or anything, I'm just curious what people's ideal stories would be. Any fandom goes.

Story for me....well, I'm sure you know who would be in it, the story would be long (gloriously long), there can be some issues as long as it ends happy, and it would be smartly written with humor included!

I'm in the minority when it comes to fanfics, I like het and JC stuff. lol There was this one story I just *loved*, it was called "At All Costs". It was very well-written and the female in the story wasn't your swooning, "I need a man to do everything for me" kind of gal. She was independent, intelligent and gah, I need to read it again. lol

A multi-chapter epic-like tale, with adventure, humor and scorching smut. I'm always up for zaniness with heart. Mistaken identities or a large secret poorly kept are always fun. I dig crossovers [particularly ones that should be ridiculous but are written in a plausible way] and threesomes and happy endings.

Fandom-wise...well, I'd really like to see long MCR fic, maybe something Bob-centric. Because I'm slightly obsessed. Though...it would be awesome to read a huge piece about Mikey being a hero too.

I also wonder why, with all the crack that's written in bandom, there's not more werewolf fic.

No fluff, no vanilla, no hurt/comfort, no M-preg, no golden shower, no reference to "his manhood" or whatever. PWP or missing scene. You know, stuff like that *g*

Well. I'd want a long, snark and UST-filled Trickyfish which deals with the different places they come from. I know class in the USA is not the same thing as class in the UK, but I can't help imagining that Diane Bass must have been very dubious about Chris and Bev, and Chris's tough , impoverished upbringing must have contrasted so strongly with Lance being treated 'like a little prince' in his comfortable, middle-class home. I'd love to read a story which has them learning to understand and appreciate each other despite and because of their differences, but slowly and perhaps somewhat unwillingly.

I spose I ought to try and write it, but I doubt I would ever get the specifics right. It probably needs an author from Mississippi and one from Chris's kind of background...

I don't think your layout feels cold at all but I'm not the one looking at it all the time so my opinion hardly counts :-)

Custom written story? Well, it would be MCR centric (of course :-) but I like when other bands make appearances. On-tour stories are always nice, especially when they deal with the daily humdrum stuff too, and it should definitely have lots of interactions between all the guys.

I have a great love of crossovers so that's something else that would be nice to see, a crossover with Torchwood for example, or Buffy, or X-Files. (I remember a post in wolfshirts about a Torchwood crossover which used the Ghost of You video and the idea that Jack would come across a pic of MCR and recognise them as these guys he remembered from the war. I don't remember the rest of it except that it was suggested that the gaping plotholes in Torchwood would be an opportunity to make sure that Mikey did not die :-)

There should be lots of great dialogue, and it should be both serious and funny. Smut isn't necessary but a nice bonus, especially if it's used to serve the story and not just as interludes. A real plot is always nice too.

Character wise I would prefer if it was either Bob, Gerard, or Frank centric and the main pairing should either be Bob/Gerard, Gerard/Frank, or Bob/Frank, or a threesome.

Dude! Custom story!

It would totally be a popslash and bandom crossover! It has to be! All my boys in one place? Holy shit, it drives me nuts. I'd totally want it to be with Pete either with AJ or JC, I really don't know why. No sex necessary and there doesnt even need to be crossover hook up. Really, a story where JC or AJ help Pete figure out how to get into Patrick's pants and win his heart would be the shit! There would be a lot of snarky dialogue and lots of scenes on a bus. It would be happy and hilarious with a lot of obvious humor and a lot of subtle humor.

What I'd like to be written (for me or someone else, I'm not picky) differs a little from author to author. There was one in the Sweet Charity thing who I almost bid on because I'd love her to write a story that deals with religious mythology. Not God and Jesus, but Lucifer and (Christian) demons and such. I'm such a fan of that. Give me a fantasy book on angels and demons and I'm happy. Obviously that would fit perfectly in Supernatural, but it'd be interesting to see a Jared and Jensen take on that, too. Aside from the plot, I want sex in my story. Lots and lots (but not so much that it gets repetitive) of steamy hot sex, preferably with some d/s elements. Mmm....

I don't know what I would want in my ideal story. It changes all the time. What I would really like to write however, but know it is too epic for me to do, would be a continuation of my Spencer Reid/Nick Stokes crossover. I have a whole epic history for them! It's awesome, but alas, will probably never get written.

Custom story: I've been thinking about this a lot recently - what I would love to read, just once, is a fic in which things are vaguely realistic. Like first time sex that isn't perfect and mind-blowing but is actually kind of awkward and funny. Or GSF wherein the bed or whatever is actually a little too small and the whole things is kinda complicated and people end up getting elbows in the face or pushed off the bed accidentally. The crack!fic possibilities for that kind of thing are endless but no one ever seems to explore them!

I don't often find fanfic that holds me - I'm not into the popslash phenom. I prefer het fanfic - preferrably with JC featured. It doesn't need to be smutty, but some really fine love making is always greatly appreciated!
