There were some amazing story ideas posted when I asked about people's custom story ideas. You're all so imaginative and amazing. There's also a lot of stories that I want to read myself now, so you all suck too ;)
Also posted were parts of a story. Which I'm totally going to link to, because I can.
crowgirl13 posted two snippets where Bob is a werewolf without a pack, and where Frank finds out how much it sucks to be a vegetarian werewolf, and man. They're written so well. I was very much of the !!!!! when I read. That thread starts here
Talking of stories. I'm so incredibly thrilled with the comments I'm getting on the Tints of Rainbow Hue, especially in terms of Gerard's depression. Knowing that I pulled it off is so satisfying. /self satisfied egotistical moment of the day.
My tv shows are coming back. New CSI. New Criminal Minds! It feels like they've been gone forever.
One last thing. I've just emailed
vaudevilles about Sparkly Glee. I've just been to the comm and we're actually running behind where we were last year. Not that it matters, Sparkly Glee has always been about having fun and shifting dates are no stress. So, I know Remix is coming up, and the Dragon challenge too, but Sparkly Glee. We should go for it again yes/no? Though we'll probably run it anyway, whatever people say ;)
ETA: Sparkly Glee in the blank months before SeSa? That makes more sense, yes? I have no intention of running the Autumn Challenge again, so that's not an issue.
I may actually upload the stories from last year sometime today. I mean, they're only nearly a year late. Choey first though. Well after I get dressed. You know the stair lift men willto turn if I'm sitting in my pjs and with hair sticking up in all directions.

Date: 2008-04-03 09:44 am (UTC)Ah, you linked to it! *laughs* Well, I'm pleased that you were entertained enough by it to do so. So, thank you. :) I think I have a little more kicking around in the brain, mostly about Bob. Just to offset the trials of werewolves on tour;I posted my first bit of official [ie. beta'ed and such] bandom writing yesterday too.
I just started watching Criminal Minds [We've gotten through the first disc]. I'm sure it's been long enough since you saw the pilot that you don't remember this BUT - the actor that played The Patient in the 'Welcome to the Black Parade' video? He's the second unsub, at the end. [I also think that gas station Gideon accidently finds him in was used in Supernatural, but don't quote me on that.] Oh and super YAY for CSI. I love that show so much...

Date: 2008-04-03 09:57 am (UTC)It really does. I now have more stories I really want to read.
I hope you don't mind me linking. I'll totally take it down if so. Just when I read something awesome I want everyone to see it too. More Bob! And official MCR too. Such a happy day!
I'm going to have to dig my Criminal Minds discs out now. And wow, that would be a cross over and a half, Criminal Minds meets the Black Parade. Gideon would have a field day *g*
I've missed CSI so much.
I'll try and look away from your icon now.

Date: 2008-04-03 11:55 am (UTC)Oh! No,no - I'm fine with the link. It's just been a while [ie. MONTHS] since I've posted any writing, so I'm being a little anxious. Ignore the nerves, please. :) And once again- thank you for the rec. *smooches*
And wow, that would be a cross over and a half, Criminal Minds meets the Black Parade.
OH! OH oh oh! You know... we were discussing that CSI/PatD fic. And now there's this very shiny CM/MCR idea...
So is this a procedural crossover thing? Or a general TV show crossover with bandom? [Maybe... CSI:NY/Cobra Starship! What a great excuse to have some Ryland n' Alex.]I like the possibilities here.
Be honest - you really missed Greg. :D
*laughs* Mikey Way. Nom, nom...

Date: 2008-04-03 12:30 pm (UTC)Oh. OH! You need to stop with the crossing bandom with shiny shows. My squee level is almost off the chart!
But wow. Maybe... CSI:NY/Cobra Starship! What a great excuse to have some Ryland n' Alex.]
Yes!
Or if we used Criminal Minds, there could be an unsub who's picking off bandom people and the team are sent in after Pete Wentz is taken, because he's kinda high profile. So Garcia has to search his 8999729 blogs and Gee bonds with Hotch because he really loves Hotch's vest, and of course Hotch indulges him while maintaining that stony face and OMG! Mikey and Spencer! Two awkward skinny geeks! Just the thought!
And yes. I missed Greg terribly. Come back to me Greggo!
I have icon angst now. Who to pick....

Date: 2008-04-03 12:22 pm (UTC)I downloaded Criminal Minds this morning. Now I'm just waiting for the lift man to go so I can watch. Instead I've been reading pegging fic *g*

Date: 2008-04-03 12:55 pm (UTC)Hey hon, can you do me a favor? I haven't posted anything yet, but I intend to do so later today, but next week on the pop newsletter, can you give a head's up that Bassez Day is August 4th and that I'm looking to see if anyone is interested in doing something for it - story challenge, icon challenge, something. I really appreciate it.

Date: 2008-04-03 12:59 pm (UTC)Life needs to stop sucking for you, but I have total faith that you'll get the stories written. And you know where I am if you need help. Sadly IM is out at the moment as my chat programmes have given up the ghost, but you know my mail.
I can totally do that. Do you want me to include your email so people can get in touch or will you be making a post somewhere?

Date: 2008-04-03 01:19 pm (UTC)I've got bunnies for my stories, sadly I cannot find my notes from when you and I discussed one of the stories and so I'm trying to recreate the idea. Now if the folks and the dog can just let me think. *sigh*
I'll be making a post later this afternoon about Bassez Day, it's 4 months away, but I'd like to be able to find out if anyone is even interested before I say "fic challenge" or whatever and then no one does anything. I'll put the post up both in my lj (if I can remember how to unlock a post) at over at the Bassez Day community.
And now I go wander back to my notes to see if any of my characters feel like cooperating. That Kevin, he's just so stubborn - but Chris seems to like that. *shrugs*

Date: 2008-04-03 01:35 pm (UTC)I'll link to your post for sure. I really hope something happens for the day. I really like the pairing days.
But, Raven! You temptress! Putting Kevin and Chris casually in a comment!!!!!!

Date: 2008-04-03 01:39 pm (UTC)There should be more pairing days, or at the least there should be a Chris/Nick pairing day. *looks innocent*

Date: 2008-04-03 01:32 pm (UTC)I didn't realise so many challenges were happening together. Which while awesome tends to leave people over stretched a little. Well, unless they're a writing machine. Which I am not.

Date: 2008-04-03 02:18 pm (UTC)All the momma fics were awesome. I'm so proud of my little challenge! And I can't believe I convinced 6 people to write mom fic. HA. \0/
