Chris likes to be one of the first on the ship before a trip, especially if it's a new ship. They don't much newer than that M3L0D33 as this will be its maiden voyage. Chris was impressed when Chasez came to him and asked him to be part of the crew, he was even more impressed when Chasez told him to write him a list of what Chris felt was necessary equipment for his lab. Chris had doubted that half of what he asked for would be in the lab, but as he stands in the lab and looks around the room, he can see that its all there.
